Women In Comic's Panel canceled and the backlash Comic-con well face

San Diego Comic-com is the biggest Comic event of the year, and this year they were going to open the doors for so much more, had they not slammed said door before anyone would enter.

Women In Comics panel was going to bring together all the women actresses together for a Q&A to chat about their time as heroes, but it was canceled a half-hour before it was supposed to start.

Some of the big names on the panel would've included Scarlet Johnanson, Melissa Amell, Gald Gadot, Tara Strong, and dozens of other actresses.

Comic-con released a official statement on why the panel was closed, which doesn't help... at all...

"We firmly believed
no one would take
interest in hearing from
the actresses portraying
female comic book
characters, so we canceled
their panel to make way for
a Panel the fans had been
asking for"
- Comic-Co official Statement 2018

The statement makes no sense, considering the panel sold out overnight, and there was already a long line up waiting for the panel when they canceled it.

The women didn't let this pull them down, they held a live stream where they answered questions and talked with fans, until Comic-cons second statement came out.

"We are for empowering
women, and we support
the Actresses playing
amazing comic book
characters, but statistic
showed, so one would
enjoy the panel"
-Comic-con's second official statement 2018

Again, sense not make. The statistics? The statistics should actually show everyone would've enjoyed the panel. Everyone was ready to enjoy it. I can guess how many people wanted to see Melissa Amell and her baby bump, people wanted to see Chyler Leigh interacting with Danai Gurira, people wanting to hear Tara Strong and Margot Robbie doing their Harley impressions. EVERYONE WANTED THIS!

The backlash Comic-con well face for this, isn't going to be pretty. Imagine the wrath of the Arrowverse fandom, mixed with the rest of DC and added to Marvel.

One can only hope we get an epic panel with the wonderful ladies next year.
