Me and John grabbed as much snacks and wine and began bringing it up to Melissa's room, the girls following behind.
Inside, Caity had Melissa's head on her lap, she was fast asleep. Katie C was playing with a blanket on the bed and the other girls were whispering, trying their best not to wake Melissa.
John and I quietly passed out the snacks and wine, Mokoia, Huia, and Pania tell everyone goodnight. Pania even climbs onto the bed and gives Melissa a kiss on the cheek before jumping off.
"Night, Katie-Kat" Huia whispers.
"Night, little ladies" Katie smiles.
As we're leaving the room Stephen comes up. "Can I talk to her?" He asks, me and John look at Katie who just motions for the girls to leave the room.
Everyone sort of rushes out, Caity slightly wakes up Melissa and leaves the room as Stephen steps in. The door closes and everyone sort of looks at each other, cramped in a hallway wondering what the hell was happening.
Emily sort of leaned on the door, sipping her wine. "What's going on?" Caity whispered.
"Stephen's apologizing" Emily whispered back.
"Finally" Katie MG silently groans.
"She's saying it's mostly pregnancy emotions" Emily whispers.
"That probably heightened it" I whispered.
"I'm going to go down and talk to Grant" Caity said, most of the girls go down. Leaving the few of us, waiting to hear what else would happen.
"I think Stephen's coming" Emily whispered. We all stood back, acting like we were talking to each other when the door swung open.
"Hey" Stephen said.
"Stephen" Katie C said, bluntly. She pushed passed him and went and sat with Melissa again.
"So?" John asked.
"We apologized, I'm getting Lilith a hotel room, and I'm going to sleep in the spare room tonight, give each other some space" he says.
"Not as terrible as the doghouse" I said.
"Yea" He said.
"Well, I should get the girls home" I said. "I'll talk to guy later"
I made my way back downstairs, loaded the girls in the car when Katie came running out. "Melissa! She passed out standing up, she fell on her stomach" she was frantic.
"What?" I exclaimed, I ran back into the house, everyone was rushing.
I raced up the stairs into her room and saw he passed out on the floor, Caity and Stephen trying to wake her and get her up.
"Oh god"
