Chapter 6

*Next Day*

After unpacking and greeting grandma, I quickly ran to the forest wearing my UA uniform. It's my little promise to Deku; that if I come back in the summer on the first day I would wear my uniform and show it at him. I remembered the first time he asked it and his face was red as a tomato, He looked so cute back then 'how could I refuse?" so I agreed anyway besides I can't say no to his puppy eyes it's my one weakness. I arrived at the little shrine and there he was waiting for me "You're early Kacchan." He said "Do you want to see me that badly?" I blush a little on what he said "Shut up you shitty nerd, I can come back later if you want." I said and he shook his head "I'm kidding, Kacchan." He said "Shall we go?" "Lead the way." I replied as he led us to our usual spot "so how's school?" He asked as he sat down at the cool grass as I followed him "New school, new teachers and new extras." I said and he giggled "Kacchan don't call people extras because you don't know them." He said and continued "You should probably make new friends." "I don't need new friends, I have you." I said laying down "Kacchan you know it's ok for you to forget me." He said quietly and I threw a pebble at him "Stop spouting nonsense, shitty nerd. I won't ever forget you, you're my friend after all" I said with sincerity "Aw... Kacchan cares about me." He said giggling even more "Shut it don't get full of yourself." I threw another pebble at him "Look Deku if I graduate and become the best military soldier, I'll move here in the village so that I can visit often." I said making him blush "that's so sweet of you Kacchan." He said "to tell you the truth I've been thinking of you lately." I threw another pebble at him "stop flirting with me, shitty nerd." I exclaimed, he sat up crossed leg next to me "but it's true, I thought about how could some kid who I found crying in the middle of the woods, grew up so handsome." He said without stuttering making my heart skip a beat "stop babbling you damn nerd." I said making my voice a little annoyed while looking away from him, hiding the red tint on my face. "Oh my god Kacchan blushed...the great Bakugo Katsuki blushed, this is a miracle." He said teasing me making my blush more visible "Deku, I'm going to kill you." I falsely threatened him as I grab a nearby branch while standing up, he saw me getting up so he took the opportunity to dash away from me "Kacchan I'm sorry." He said while giggling while I chased him, he took a right turn and tripped on a tree root. He face planted on the ground while I just laughed at him. He sat up slowly while his mask fall to the ground, he was crying and there was a big bruise on his forehead "Karma arrive earlier than I expected." I said between laughs, "You're mean Kacchan." He said while wiping his tears "It's your fault, shitty nerd not mine." I said sitting next to him, I gently patted the branch on his head "Don't cry Deku the ouchy will go away soon." I said hiding my laughter "Hey I'm older than you." He reasoned and I snorted "we're the same age idiot." I said "I'm literally a teenager." "No Kacchan, I'm older I'm immortal remember, I just age slower." He said while sniffling "At least I'm taller than you." I said sticking my tongue out at him "It's not my fault, I'm short." He mumbled pouting "You're such a Deku." I chuckled and rolled my eyes at him, "You know what you look better without that mask of yours." "I'll keep that in mind." He said standing up while wincing a little, I saw his mask laying in a bush so I picked it up and flung it at him "Can you teach me how to fly a kite Kacchan?" I looked at him confused "You have a Kite?" I asked and he nodded "I found it last week stuck on a tree, I pulled it out and kept it. So that when Kacchan came back he could teach me." He mumbled the last part while blushing and titling his head a little, Oh God I swear he look like a kitten that I could just squish. "Yeah I'll teach you nerd." I said while trying not to stutter "OK then I'll go get it." He said running away probably going to get the kite, 'Why does he get cuter every summer?' I thought 'Why do I have this mix feelings about him? Yes I have fallen in love with him 3 years ago because my pride was too high for me to realize it at first. Who am I kidding he doesn't like me back.' "Kacchan I'm back." He exclaimed raising his red kite while I snap out of my thoughts "Ok give me the string while you stand over there, you need to raise the kite for it to fly." I instructed him, he gave me the string careful for our skins to not make contact, he ran a few pace from me while raising the kite as instructed. I waited for a strong wind before I signaling him to let go, the wind blew the kite high in the sky. Deku ran to me still not wearing his mask his eyes full of amazement "Here." I said handing him the string, he gladly took it careful to not touch me, I felt sad all of a sudden because for as long as Deku is alive I could never ever touch him and my wish to touch him would not ever happen. I shook my head shaking the feeling off as long as Deku is happy, I'm happy .I look up to the sky and saw the sun about to set, "Hey Deku I need to go home, the old hag will give me a long ceremony If I don't." I sighed while shoving my hands in my pockets "Aw already?!?" he asked, I was about to answer but stopped. The scene before me was breathtaking, Deku was there smiling while tilting his head with the sunset at the background. I instantly pulled out my phone and snapped a picture which confused him "What are you doing?" He asked innocently "snapping a picture of you." "But why?" "To preserve the moment duh..." I said showing him my phone "I will never understand this device you call a phone." He said "It's weird." "Actually you can do a lot of things in it." I said and a notification suddenly showed up, I click it open to see a text from the old hag, I sighed putting my phone back into my pocket "I need to go Deku, the old hags looking for me." I said and he nodded while grabbing his kite "Uhmm... Kacchan can you come back tonight?" Deku asked as we arrived at the shrine "Why?" I asked back "well you see tonight there will be a festival for spirits and I always wanted to take you there since you were a kid but I thought you'll get scared." He said "if you want to of course." "Are you just asking me on a date?" I asked teasing him while he blushed deep red "What if I did?" He replied and it was my turn to blush, "Stupid Deku." I muttered hiding my blush "is that a yes Kacchan?" "Depends." I said as I turned around and started my journey home "you better wear a yukata Kacchan." I hear him shout behind me "I'll see what I could do." I shout back at him
