Uninvited

Bella & Jacob had gone ahead in Bella's truck, they were headed home but Paul & I were on our way back to his house we needed to get my truck before we headed back.
Lucky that Sam was always thinking ahead & had brought Paul's bike with him so that we would have a way to get back.
We pulled up beside my truck & jumped straight in turning the heater on, Paul started her up & began to drive out towards Forks, the silence was defening. I knew he would have had a lot of questions for me, I knew that but I couldn't answer them right now & he knew that too so we both just sat in silence.
I huffed as I looked out the window at the passing trees "Becka-" Paul said breaking the silence, I hummed in response "I have to ask you something really important." he said his voice taking on a serious tone.
I turned to look over at him, he looked nervous "look I know it's kind of soon given we only just got back together but I'm ready & I hope you are too..." he paused taking in a deep breath "I want you to move in with me, I just think if we moved in together we could figure out what's going on with you together, you know? & I could take care of you & we could-" he sighed "I don't know I just love you & I want to take care of you & I-" I cut him off.
"Paul you're rambling." I chuckled, a blush spread across his cheeks "you don't need to explain yourself to me." I said, he nodded slowly looking at the road ahead a little to intently "of course I will." I said with a smile.
A wide grin broke out across his face & he laughed "really?!" he practically shouted at me, my grin grew & I nodded.
"I love you & I'm ready, I've said it before & I'll say it again. I'm done pushing everyone away & trying to deny who we are, we're made for each other. There's no denying it anymore." Paul pulled off to the side of the road & pounced on me, I laughed as he peppered kisses all over my face.
"I love you, Becka Swan. Until my heart stops beating & even then." he whispered in my ear, goose flesh peppered across my skin & I smiled as I reached up pulling Paul's head down to my own & placing a small kiss on his soft warm lips.
My phone began to ring & Paul lent back still smiling "you should probably get that." he said pointing to my pocket, I flipped my phone open & placed it on my ear.
"Becka the leeches are back." Jacob rushed out.
I pushed my hair off my face & shot up "Where's Bella?" I asked knowing the answer already.
"she's inside, I-I can't go in there Becka." Jacob said "I can't protect her if one of them is here, it's against the treaty." Jacob was going into a full blown panic at this point.
"Jake-" his breathing was growing heavier "Jacob, we're on our way." I said hanging up Paul had already started to speed towards the house.
"treaty or no, I won't let anything happen to either of you." Paul said gripping the wheel so tight his knuckles went a sickly white colour.
"I know." I said with a short nod.

When we arrived at the house I had barely waited for Paul to stop the car, I jumped out & bounded up the front porch steps listening for a moment before barging in, the sound of two women talking could be heard faintly as I rounded the corner & saw Bella & Alice lazing in the couch catching up, I scowled as Alice turned to face me slowly.
"Becka?! " Alice asked looking slightly shocked that I'm present in my own home, my home? I fought the urge to look around the house nostalgically at the thought that soon I would be leaving it.
"Alice." I said bluntly, for a few tense moments she just started at me & I at her. She looked sorry, the look on her face was apologetic but I couldn't help but be mad at her "so you're back?" I asked.
She nodded "just me." she said her voice soft.
"well feel free to go back where you came from, we don't need another repeat of Bella catatonic for months because you left again." I said flaring my nostrils at her.
Her mouth opened & shut as she tried to find something to day to that "seriously, Becka?" Bella hissed.
"deadly." I said turning my glare to her "what Emmett can come back to see me graduate but Edward will leave you damn near suicidal for months? How is that okay Bella?" I asked, she frowned.
"Emmett came back?" Bella & Alice asked simultaneously, I shook my head frustrated.
"yeah, he didn't stick around just long enough to smile at me & run back into the woods." I explained with a roll of my eyes.
Alice frowned "how is Emmett?" I asked curiously.
"annoyed." Alice replied "he didn't want to leave either of you, no one did." she said with a shrug "but-"
"but you're a bunch of blooding sucking parasites who couldn't protect Bella from one of their own?" I asked raising my eyebrows at her shocked expression, I smiled but I'm sure it looked more like a snarl "I'm aware." I said synically.
She nodded knowing I was right Bella sent me a murdous glare over the small girls shoulder but I didn't bother warranting it with a look, she wasn't thinking straight, once even one of the Cullens come into the picture Bella's judgement simmers down to nothing.
Alice scrunched up her nose & sniffed the air "what is that god awful wet dog smell?" she asked recoiling her head in a her quick movement.
"oh um sorry, that's probably me or-" Bella frowned as she shrugged off Jacob's jumper "or it's Jacob-" she said.
"Jacob who?" Alice asked confused.
Bella licked her lips before answering "Jacob's kind of a werewolf." she explained pushing a strand of hair behind her head, I threw my arms up in the air at Bella's stupidity, just out Jacob why don't you? Let's just throw the secret around even though it's not life or death so there's no reason to do so.
Moron.
Alice scoffed "Bella, werewolves are not good company to keep." she said.
Anger boiled inside me at the hypocritical comment, it's not like they drain the lives of other beings to stay alive, I stepped forward to stand up for my family but I was beaten to it by a voice behind me.
"Speak for yourself." Jacob said walking into the lounge room from the kitchen, Paul standing behind him. They must have come around through the back door.
Alice stood suddenly turning to stare at the boys in disgust, Paul came over to me & pulled me into his side, I flicked my eyes to Bella who was lookinng at Jacob with unasked questions.
"I had to see you were safe." he said to Bella nodding as if he was answering words unsaid.
"I thought you couldn't protect me here?" she asked, flicking her eyes to Paul aswell. She gave him an impossibly quick smile before looking back to Jacob.
"guess I don't care." Jacob said his voice almost a growl as Alice moved her feet.
"well I'm not going to hurt her." Alice scowled sounding offended.
Jacob looked over to the pale girl & looked at her with unkind eyes for a moment as he ran his tongue over his teeth "no you're just a harmless Cullen-" he spat the name "I'm talking about the other bloodsucker who tried to kill Bella because of you." he said flicking his eyes back to Bella & then to Alice again.
"Victoria?" Alice asked clearly confused, you think she would have seen it.
"yeah Victoria's been around." Bella said with a nod.
"I didn't see her-" Alice shook her head with frustration "I didn't see you get pulled out of the water either-" she said clearly annoyed she didn't see the dangers that Bella was in, she wirled on Jacob angrily "I can't see past you & your pack of mutts." she spat, Paul's body began to shake. I placed my hand on his chest & he calmed down slightly enough to stop the shaking but he was still rigid & rightfully so. Alice looked between us disgusted by our relationship, I knew because that's how I looked at Edward & Bella. I didn't hold it against her though.
"don't get me upset." Jacob warned as he took a menacing step forward.
"hey-" Bella said tentively as she stood "Jake stop." she said with a small frown.
"things could get very ugly." he warned Alice who just looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
"stop, stop, stop." Bella repeated over again as she placed her hand gently on his chest, he looked down at her tiny hand against his enormous chest & his breathing became even. Bella looked him in the eye & nodded as she turned to Alice who was looking at her curiously.
"I'll give you a minute." she said with a knowing nod before beginning to walk away she barely stopped to glare up at Jacob as she did.
Bella & Jacob shared a look of angst before realisation crossed Bella's features "hey-" she rushed out, Alice turned to look at her "you're not going anywhere, you're gonna come back." she asked though it sounded more like a demand, she must have realised that because she blinked a few times before asking "right?"
"as soon as you put the dog out." Alice said with a nod, she gave Bella a cheeky smile before spinning around & opening the door shutting it behind her not another word was said for a moment as Bella & Jacob just kind of looked at each other, they gazed into each others eyes & I tapped Paul on the shoulder. He tore his eyes away from the pair & looked down at me I nodded my head towards the stairs & he nodded grabbing my hand in his as we headed up them, leaving the pair to talk or whatever they needed to do.

When we reached my room Paul spun me around shutting the door close with his foot, he pulled me into his chest & grabbed my cheek running his thumb along my cheek bone softly. I looked up at him my eyes catching sight of his jaw muscles ticking, my hand instinctively went to his wrist rubbing the pad my thumb along it.
I looked up into his chocolate eyes just as he placed a soft kiss on my lips & pulled away my body flushed with heat & I grabbed the back of his neck pulling him back down to meet my lips, I kissed him roughly needing to feel him.
He clearly needed my touch as well because he kissed me back just a rough, just as passionate. I sighed as I succumbed to the kiss leaning into him his fingers traced the line of bare skin left open from where my singlet didn't quite meet the hem of my jeans. The electricity between us was almost too much, Paul broke the kiss placing his forehead on my own leaving us both panting. He kissed my forehead before reconnecting our heads.
"I love you." he said his voice breathless.
I nodded, kissing his lips quickly "you too." I said.
He shut his eyes tight & frowned the expression on his face was pained "it's just kind of hitting me-" he said swollowing hard I studied the crevices in his face caused by his sudden onset of worry, I felt the panic that surged through him, the tightening in his chest "that I almost lost you. That you just jumped off a cliff & you could have died." he shook his head "don't do that to me Becca. Don't leave me again. Death is permanent...final. I can't get you back from that." he said.
I nodded feeling my heart wretch at his words "no dying." I said with a nod "I can give it a go." I smiled, a ghost of a smile haunted the edges of his perfect lips as he narrowed his eyes.
"I mean it." he said.
I nodded with a smirk "I hear you loud & clear." I said "I'll just run down stairs & tell Alice that I need to not die-" I began to tease but Paul rolled his eyes giving into his smile.
"you're so funny." he said reaching down & picking me up by my butt I wrapped my legs around him as I hummed cocking my eyebrow at him.
"I know, I'm hilarious." I said running my fingers over his cheek & into his short black hair, I grasped a small amount it in my fist & kissed him again sliding my tongue along his soft bottom lip, the moment my tongue slid back into my own mouth he nipped at my bottom lip making me giggle.
Suddenly my door swung open, I hadn't been focusing on the conversation down stairs I was trying to give Jacob & Bella some privacy but I regretted that decision the moment I saw Jacob's face. The usual light that radiated from him was drained. I slid down Paul not taking his hands from around my body.
"she's going after him." Jacob rushed out his voice was small & panicked "Becka, she's going to Italy." Jacob said, my mouth fell open as my blood ran cold.
