Dearest Jasper,
I have considered many ways to start this letter, and I believe that two simple words are the best beginning.
I'm sorry
I knew you will hate me for a time. Partly for yourself, and partly for Alice, but please, consider why I am doing this. You know I would rather die than see you harmed, and that is simply what I am doing. I am killing myself in the most painful way possible so that you both may remain safe.
You have helped me through so much. After Mark, and my death, I was, broken, that is the only word for it. You put me back together, and now, I use my whole self to protect you from becoming like I was.
I ask one thing of you, and I know it is too much. But please, stay with the Cullen's, Carlisle is kind and will welcome you. A leader is something you have always hated being, and I do not wish a life of misery for you. Stay with them until I return to you.
My brother, I love you more than words, and I am going to miss you until my unseating heart kills me, only to be killed by it again.
