Haylee's POV.
"It's been 10 months since he ditched you, Haylee," Jane shouted in astonishment. "Just go to the ball with Hanns, get your mind off of Zander.""I dont know," I whispered. Poor Jane has tried to get me to go to this ball for days.
"He really did an impact on you, didn't he, Hayles?" Hanns mumbled so softly, I barely heard him. But my werewolf hearing picked it up. My heart pounded, aching from Zander's rejection to be my mate. I sighed heavily.
"Okay. I accept to go to the ball with you," I announced. I have to overcome this pain and going to this ball will help ease my heartbreak.
"You don't have to," Hanns trailed off.
"But I want to," I insisted. "I am going with you, and you are going to man up and allow it to happen."
"This is going to be a long night," Hanns muttered beneath his breath.
"Get used to it, buddy boy," I giggled.
We grabbed out coats and headed for his sleek black truck. He opened my door, and I hopped in. He walked around the front of the truck and got into the driver's seat.
Starting up the engine, we took off into the night towards Baxston Pack. The royal pack.
