Haylee's POV.
In 3 short hours, the rogues fled for their lives, died, or were locked up in the dungeon. I wanted to tell Johna about my condition, and the actual real reason I didn't want to go to Kentucky.

The real reason I didn't want to go is because-

"I'm home, baby!" Johna shouted from the front door. I guess you won't know now until I tell him.

"I'm in here!" I called back. Johna walked through the arch way to the living room a little later.

"Hey, pumpkin," he whispered, dropping beside me on the couch before kissing behind my ear.

"Hey," I mumbled.

"What's wrong, Haylee?"

"Nothing."

"Something's wrong. You're never like this. I'm your mate. I know you."

"I'm going for a walk," I muttered.

"We can talk later, then," he pressed.

"Fine," I sighed. His eyes followed me as I left the castle. I just need time to think before I tell him. I exited the castle walls, walking towards town.
