Darkness.

Everything was hallow, black, tinted. I felt at peace, finally. I wouldn't have to worry about my haters. Life would be so much easier, no more crying, no more hurt, just peaceful darkness. But if I died where was I going? Heaven or Hell?

I tried moving my hands, but it was so numb, my eyes felt sealed shut, yet I was determined. A groan escaped my lips, shuffling and noises were heard from the background. I felt something warm on my hand. When I managed to peal my eyes open I was met with the face of my brother who looked like he had been run over. He looked like he was sick, his eyes were red, he hadn't shaved and his hair was scattered. I opened my mouth, but it was like Mordecai knew what I needed before I said it.

"Water! " he barked.

He gently held my face, a tear escaped his face as he smiled gently "Hannah, I'm right here. I'll never leave you again. I'm sorry"

It took me time to focus, but I heard shouting. Soon after a nurse came and tended to me. She said I needed rest and she beaconed Mordecai to go and rest himself. He almost exploded, he didn't want to leave but after several persuasions he left grumbling.

In two hours time when I woke up I found Jordan and Alexis in my room. Alexis had a cast on his wrist but other than that he looked fine, his bruises faded a bit, they weren't as prominent. Jordan stood, looking at me worriedly, Alexis looked relived. He tackled me in a hug, holding me tightly "You're alright"

"I'm Alright" I nodded, giving Him a smile.

"Oh God" he released a shaky breath "I thought you were gone. I didn't know what to do. You just laid there unmoving. My heart skipped-not in the good kind of way- I just, I just didn't have any idea what I could have done. He said he killed you, he said I couldn't fight for you. He-"

"Alex. I'm fine. I'm alright, look" I smiled at him. He shakily nodded his head then hugged me again. Like he wanted to make sure I was real and I wasn't leaving.

"Hannah, I'm so sorry. I almost had a heart attack when I heard what happened, I thought you guys were gone. If I had known I would have dropped you guys at Alexis's. If I had known I wouldn't have gotten that damn detention if I had known I wouldn't have left you guys like that, I should have known it would be dangerous I -"

I held Jordan's hands firmly, he stopped talking and looked into my eyes, his caramel colored eyes swirled with regret. Its so sad to know guilt had been eating him alive all this time. What about Kenneth?

Abeg, why am I thinking about that screwhead sef? Its his business, if he likes let him jump into a hole, I don't care.

"See,Jordan, listen, there's no way you could have known this would happen. Don't beat yourself for this, oh. You're not God, you can't know everything, nobody knows everything so don't blame yourself. Its not your fault" I told him.

"I'm just so glad you are okay. You've been out for a week. It seems like the whole incident hit you hard. Your bro almost had my head, he wouldn't stop blaming me-"

"Jordan" I held his face "what did he do? "

"What? "

"What did he do when he found out I was here? When he heard what happened? "
