Felix woke up to the annoying sound of his alarm, it red numbers flashed on the small screen, indicating that it was in fact seven o'clock and he has to get out of the comfort of his bed. He sighed heavily and turned the alarm off, coming to the realisation that it was most certainly a Monday. The blonde haired boy stood up groggily, his brain still in sleep-mode, and made his way to the wardrobe while also making sure he didn't trip over the boatloads of comic books and clothes on his plain beige carpet.
After an hour of getting ready (not forgetting about his breakfast because food is important) he finally walked out of the house, locking the door as he left. His mum always worked early in the morning and came home at around four so he didn't see her much in the mornings, with the exception of Sunday because it was her day off.
Felix walked to the bus stop in silence, occasionally humming to random TWICE songs playing in his earbuds. Suddenly the blonde hears a familiar tune coming from his earbuds, he recognised it as 'Dance The Night Away' by TWICE. He smiled to himself and started bobbing his head to the rhythm, humming happily as he reached the bus stop.
The bus stop was empty, only the presence of lolly wrappers and empty fast food drinks keeping him company. Felix didn't mind though, to him it was calming, he watched vehicles drive past him and he couldn't help but wonder where they were going on a cloudy Monday morning.
In the amidst of things he heard the chorus of 'Dance The Night Away' start, he smiled excitedly, putting his phone in his pocket. The blonde started dancing the the catchy tune, not caring about the cars driving past, he knew the moves of by heart as he danced to this song in his free time (a little bit too much) and also the fact that he and his sisters used to dance to the same song back in Australia.
Felix used the live in Australia but he and his mother moved to South Korea after his parents divorced. Their divorce wasn't necessarily a harsh one like the ones you see on movies and read in books, the couple just started drifting apart and eventually got tired of one another, but this didn't mean Felix wasn't upset over the whole situation. His sisters chose to stay with their father, even so, he still kept in contact with them and their mother also joined in when he Skyped them. Felix also kept in touch with his father although not much words were exchanged between the two, Felix knew that his father still loved his son.
Felix danced to the last moves of the chorus, panting heavily as he finished off the dance with the finishing pose. He smiled proudly to himself, not realising someone was silently observing him.
"Nice moves" they spoke up.
Felix stood still in shock and embarrassment, he could recognise that voice anywhere. He turned around slowly, facing the ravenette, who was smiling at the freckled boy.
"T-thanks, I guess" Felix gushed nervously, feeling a blush rise to his cheeks.
"Cute" the older chuckled to himself.
Felix blushed harder, as if he wasn't already. He could hear his heartbeat echoing in his ears as he stared at his shoes, hoping the latter didn't see the blush that was getting darker on his freckled face.
Just as Felix picked up his courage and decided to speak up, the bus decided to ruin their moment, pulling up next to the worn-out bus stop.
'Just my luck' Felix internally groaned as he got on the bus.
He found a free seat near the back of the bus and Changbin sat next to his friends who were laughing loudly at something but Felix honestly couldn't care less, there was only one thing on his mind.
'He called me cute'
The lunch bell was heard throughout the hallways. Students rushed out of classes wanting to get to the cafeteria as fast as their feet would take them. If you stood in the middle of the the hallway you would most likely be trampled on.
Felix walked quickly to the cafeteria, dodging the many students that ran past him to avoid tripping over. He stumbled a few times due to the many feet that were sharing the same pathway and the worn-out uneven concrete.
The freckled boy finally arrived at the cafeteria. His eyes wandered across the room, searching for his friends. After successfully finding them, the latter speedily jogged over to them.
"GUYS YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT I DID YESTERDAY" Felix shouted, it was probably loud enough for the whole cafeteria to hear.
Seungmin covered his ears "not so loud dipshit" he hissed at the blonde.
Felix ignored the latter, resulting in Seungmin rolling his eyes. "Anyways- as I was saying" the freckled boy continued, "I sent Changbin the 'send this to your crush without context' video"
"WHAT!" Jeongin yelled, receiving yet another deadly glare from Seungmin.
"Did he reply yet?" Jisung asked curiously, leaning towards the Australian.
"Not yet" Felix shrugged " I hope he does today though" he adds, eyes sparkling at the thought.
"Did you tell him it was you?" Seungmin asked, ignoring the ear-splitting squeals coming from Jisung and Jeongin.
"Should I?"
"I mean, unless you want some other some other girl, or boy, to snatch him away, you should really tell him" Seungmin replied, sighing heavily at the boy's obliviousness.
"Do it quick, don't be like y/n in those fanfictions and tell him in chapter179" Jeongin added.
"Maybe" Felix said thoughtfully.
"Don't forget to do your assignment" Miss Jan yelled over the bell, indicating that Felix could finally head home.
Felix walked out of English class, he was put into Advanced English this year, reason being that he had lived in Australia before, this also meant he shared the class with seniors. He was the only 10th grader in the class, which at first is nerve-racking. But when he found out his cousin, Chris (or Chan, he was fine with either one) shared the same class, Felix immediately felt more comfortable about being in the class. Not to mention he also shared the class with a certain someone.
The freckled blonde ambled his way to the bus stop, taking out his phone to check if he missed any messages.
Suddenly, his legs stopped walking and he felt his heart speed up.
On his phone screen was a message from his crush.
Changbinnie
Stop being so cute damnit
And Felix couldn't stop the blush from rising on his face.
