The library was filled with quiet mummers of students, rushing to get their assignments done, assignment period was always on at the worst times; it was as if the teachers wanted to kill of their brain cells. Felix, Jeongin, Minsung (because they had concluded ever since they started dating, they were one unit), Seungmin and Hyunjin (who had yet to earn the 'one unit couple' title) organised a 'study group',which was really just the two couples being insanely clingy and gross, leaving Felix and Jeongin as third wheels (fifth wheels?).Minsung were going through English textbooks, Shakespeare's plays and 18th century poetry were on their list. Across from them, Seungmin was helping the hopeless Hyunjin with his art essay (no one knows why Hyunjin chose art, hint: it's because of Seungmin) but of course getting side tracked because:
"And here write the principles of art and— Hey! Focus!"
"Sorry, got lost in your eyes."
To which Seungmin would roll his eyes blushingly and hit his boyfriend softly in the chest.
So on and so forth.
This left Felix and Jeongin on their own, finishing the last of their drama assignment and whatnot. You could say being single means finishing faster, procrastinated or not. Not long after, Felix and Jeongin decided to leave (abandon) the lovebirds, to go get lunch instead of staying with the torturous couples.
So the two found themselves in a nearby Subway, each munching on a footlong. The sandwich shop was buzzing with customers as rush hour begun, the little store soon came alive, serving customers Left and Right.
The two boys ate in peace, enjoying each other's company without putting up with couples for about five minutes, before Jeongin suddenly remembered that he had to pick his younger brother up and dashed out of the shop (remembering his food of course, because priorities, right?).
Felix sighed, so much for hanging out today. He then proceeded to finish the rest of the sandwich, throwing the rubbish in the bin before leaving the now-crowded store.
A gentle gust of wind blew past the freckled boy as he laid on the dry autumn grass. His soft brown eyes trained on the shapeless clouds in the sky; though to him they meant a million more than just 'shapeless'. Cloud-gazing was and will always be one of his favourite pastimes, he loved making up stories from the clouds, losing himself in his own fantasy.
He was about to fall asleep, making up cookies and dragons in the heavy-looking clouds, when an all too familiar face came into view to which he had jolted out of his fantastical world of cloudy dragons.
"Changbin hyung!" the younger boy exclaimed, trying to not gay panic as he gave his hyung a sweet (definitely not awkward) smile. "What are you doing here?"
Changbin rubbed his nose softly with his index finger, fiddling with a packet of orange flavoured gum in his pocket, trying to brush off his nervousness with a chuckle. "I just happen to pass by," definitely not looking for a certain angel, "what about you?"
"Ah..." Felix inwardly chuckled, "I was studying with my friends and then me and Jeongin with to go for lunch, but then, he had to go pick up his little brother and- well- now I'm here." He finished with an awkward laugh, scratching the back of his head.
Changbin smiled, his heart and mind leapt at a chance to spend time with (not yet officially) his angel. "Well, seeing as we could both use some company, why don't we do something together?"
Felix blinked, processing the older boy's words, "is it a date?" He blurted out, covering his mouth in realisation as soon as the words left his mouth; a dark shade of red dusted upon his freckles. The poor boy started stuttering, "I-I mean, uh is it, like-"
