There he stood, his arm still wrapped, looking at me in a way that I had never seen him do before. "What are you doing here? Your people need you to lead them..."

He takes a step forward, as if he's walking towards a frightened animal. "I'm sorry... I had thought..." I look away from him, not wanting to hear what he has to say. This day has already been hard enough on me.

"I know, you thought it was Jake. That's why you talked to him last night. You don't have to explain." I turn around, looking on the ash filled ground trying to distract myself.

"Kita-" He starts, only to be cut off.

"No Tsu'tey, I get it. You love Neytiri. I saw the way you looked at her earlier. I saw the pain in your eyes when she announced that she mated with Jake." I bend down to brush the ash away from some leaves, hoping that they might be the ones I need.

"That pain was for you."

I stand up and whirl back towards him. "What?"

"When Jake had told us what he had done, I saw your face. I thought... I thought that you were hurt because of it. That's why I was angry with him. Though Neytiri was promised to me, I never really... My heart wasn't beating for her, not like it does for you."

A tear falls down my cheek as I look into his eyes. "What-What are you trying to say Tsu'tey?"

He takes another step towards me and wipes the tear from my face. "The reason I kept pushing Atan and the others away from you, is because I love you Kita."

I put my hands on his face, my eyes searching his. A part of me feels like he's lying, but the other part, the much larger one, knows that he isn't.

He rests his forehead on mine, and I breathe in deeply, letting everything he just said settle in my brain. With my eyes closed, I whisper, "I love you too Tsu'tey."

Just then, Reyuk and Maktos land next to us, as if they had been waiting for this moment. Tsu'tey and I break apart, both of us with a grin on our face. "Let us gather the rest of the Ikran, and return to our people."

With that, we both hop onto our beloved Ikran, and fly towards Home Tree, hoping that something, anything, could be salvaged.

Sadly, as we gaze across the ash covered landscape, nothing could be found. The whole forest is damaged, an angry scar caused by the humans.

"I will heal this. It will never be the same, but never again will it be scarred." I state, a tear running down my face. I look over at Tsu'tey and see the same reaction on his face.

"I will help you every step of the way. But for now, let us return. There is much to be done before the night falls." With that, we turn back towards the Tree of Souls.

As we travel, Ikran seem to gather behind us, Eywa guiding them towards their loved ones. From up above, the sacred area that every Na'vi cares for, is riddled with Omaticaya looking for warmth and prayers.

When Tsu'tey and I land, the rest of the Ikran flock to the stony walls that protect the tree. Mo'at is getting ready to lead a prayer, and Neytiri is looking out at everyone, her face showing every bit of emotion she's currently feeling.

"Tsu'tey... I'm going to go see if I can help Neytiri. We can talk more later, once everyone is settled." With a smile, I run my hand down his arm, happy that something good came of this horrible day.

His hand rises and rests on my cheek and nods. "After the prayer, I will find you." He lowers his hand and walks towards Mo'at, while I make my way to Neytiri.

She doesn't notice me approach until my hand rests on her shoulder. "Talk to me Neytiri."

She turns and looks at me, her eyes watery. "I trusted him. I loved him."

I pull her into a hug. "Jake made a mistake, as we all do. But perhaps something happened that changed him."

"Like what?"

I pull back and brush a tear off her face. "Like a beautiful Na'vi woman who taught him how to see, that he fell in love with. I know him Neytiri. At first, yes, it was a mission. But then you did something to him that changed his mind. You watch Neytiri, he will return."

She shakes her head. "I yelled at him, I lied to him in anger. He will not return."

I laugh slightly. "Neytiri. You taught Jake. He's stubborn and fights for what he wants." I tilt her head up to look at me. "He wants you. He will return."

She smiles at me finally, understanding dawning on her face. I pull her into another hug, only to pull apart when Mo'at calls everyone to attention. We walk together up to the base of the tree where Tsu'tey stands beside her.

"Let us join together in prayer before we rest."

Tsu'tey and I sit next to each other as Neytiri claims the other side of me. Our tails make a bond to the roots of the tree, as do the rest of the Na'vi.

"Eywa, watch over us as we rest. Guide our dreams to better days." Everyone repeats the prayer, as we all hope that we will be safe tonight under the direct eye of Eywa.

Later, after everyone has made small fires and found places to sleep, Tsu'tey and I wander just outside of the area, so as to not wake anyone.

"This means war, doesn't it?" I ask him.

"Yes, but not now. We must heal, and prepare. If we were to fight now, all would be lost."

"I'm afraid Tsu'tey. My vision is coming true." He pulls me to him, holding me tightly.

"Do not fear. We will win, and survive. That is the way of the people."

"Promise me you won't leave me."

"I promise." His tail wraps around mine, as if sealing the promise in stone.

I lead him to the floor, sitting down with our backs against a tree. He wraps an arm around me as I lay my head on his shoulder.

Like that, we spend the rest of the night in each other's arms, The night stars and Eywa watching over us.
