Rough Day

After a failed assassination attempt on Zelda, you took a bit of a beating, which scared Zelda and demanded to see you despite being escorted to safety, she sees you getting patched up by the surgeon, you smile at her showing some missing teeth

You: Hey Zelda

Zelda: What were you thinking!? You could've died!!

You: I was protecting you, I am your bodyguard after all

Zelda: I don't care! You took an arrow to the knee!

You: But I'm still going to be an adventurer

Zelda: Now is not the time for your jokes (Y/N)! You got stabbed in the side! And an arrow to the stomach.. again!

You: It's my job to keep you safe by any means necessary

Zelda: (Y/N)! No! I don't want to lose you!

You: Hey now, I'm still here

Zelda: Barely!

Surgeon: If I may say princess, he will be fine, he just needs to rest for a couple of days

You: See?

Zelda: I don't care! I love you (Y/N)! It hurts me to see you like this!

You: I'll be fine, trust me

The surgeon leaves the room after finishing patching you up, Zelda looked like she was about to cry

Zelda: You mean so much to me, it breaks my heart to see you with so many injuries, and it's all my fault!

You: It's not your fault, they want you, not me, they're just willing to kill me to get to you, don't feel responsible

Zelda: I could've done more.. but I didn't!

You: You didn't do anything wrong Zelda, none of this is your fault, don't worry, I'm fine okay?

You put your hand to Zelda's cheek, she wraps her hand around yours

Zelda: Okay, just promise me that you will be more careful

You: I promise

Zelda flashes a smile and goes in to hug you, you immediately melt into the embrace

Zelda: I love you

You: I love you too
