"The Blender Incident"

Andy and Peter were up earlier than everyone else that morning, making breakfast — attempting to at least. Andy was talking animatedly about something. Peter had forgotten what, getting lost in the conversation somewhere along the lines, but he knew that it was something the girl was quite passionate about.

In fact, Andy was so passionate that she forgot to put the lid on, so, when she turned to the blender on, it began spewing like a volcano. Peter turned around when he heard Andy's squeal, rushing to her side. "Andy, turn it off!"

"I can't!", she shouted back, fiddling with the buttons. She could barely see with the thick liquid dripping down her face, coating her eyelashes so that they became heavy.

Peter reached for the chord, yanking it out of the wall. The blender gurgled once as it died, the whirring eventually stopping.

Andy wiped her eyes, flicking her hands by her sides. She and Peter took one look at each other, covered in pink smoothie, before dissolving into a fit of giggles. "Guess we'll have to take a shower again", Andy chuckled.

Peter nodded. "Leave your clothes by your door, I'll start the laundry", he sighed.
