Memories

Me and Jamey sat in silence together, and I thought of the name he had called me. Daniel. Why did it sound so familiar.

A sharp pain stabbed into my head, and I had what seemed to be memories flash through my mind. I saw myself writing the note that said REMEMBER, I saw myself stuffing the papers into the drawer, I saw Jamey holding the door shut, it was flexing just as it had from before, but this time, the door burst aside, throwing Jamey to the left as it revealed the creature.

It looked as though it was some kind of satanic monster, trying to pass as a dog, but this dog's red flesh was ripped and torn about, and it's mouth was filled with many rows of teeth. It's beady eyes, one white and the other yellow, they pierced and destroyed my soul as it opened it's maw larger than before, letting a blood dissolving  roar that had a mechanical screech to it.

It threw itself at me, it's huge jaws closing around my spine like nothing more than a twig. The last thing I saw was Jamey on his knees, tears streaming down his face, as the beast, no, monster snapped by back in half, causing my vision to go dark.

I came to, on my back, Jamey over me, his hands on my shoulders, shaking me. I realized that tears were streaming down my face, I wiped them away as I sat back up.

"Are you okay?", Jamey said with a shaky voice, "You fell back, and then your eyes were darting around, and then you started to well up, you said something about an 'it', and then you began crying and - and - please don't die like Daniel!" He threw his body against mine, hugging me.

Who ever this Daniel was, he seemed as though he was very important to Jamey, so I asked, "Who's Daniel?"
