my dear soul,
my silent partner who is within,
you who has heard my every heartbeat,
you who has counted my every breath,
you who remembers my every dream,
you who has been here every single step.

my dear soul,
we have been through a lot you and I,
remember the long walks to class no fare,
did you forget Brams fierce calls for your salvation,
all the friends we made along the way,
some you didn't approve,
and of our quenchless thirst for purpose,
all those sleepless nights,
naive no more.

my dear soul,
soon our journey shall end,
when I'm back to dust,
when you finally depart,
where I cannot tell,
though I wish you well.
I ask you to take these memories,
take these joys, take these pains,
take my triumphs, take my failures.
forget me not as you drift yonder,
tell them you were part of me,
and how proud I was to be part of you,
for all eternity.

the end.

(deep down, the mind and body knows its fate, it writes to the eternal soul within of a life well shared, of a life worth remembering.)
