One Year Later

Chester adjusted the cuffs of his suit as he wondered for the seventh time if he should let one more button of his shirt undone or not. His boyfriend had told him that he didn't have to wear a suit for his graduation, but the blonde man had insisted. He wanted to look good for Mike's special day.

Chester could sense that Mike was nervous, ever since he had woken up, he had been blabbing about anything other than his graduation, and when he had been about to take a cup of coffee, Chester had suggested that maybe orange juice would be a better idea.

The tattooed man had moved in with Mike some months ago, since it had been the wisest thing to do. After all, except when Chester was at his parent's, he was always at Mike's. So when his apartment's lease had come up, he had decided not to renew it. Of course, since he was so insecure about it, he had waited for his boyfriend to officially ask him if he wanted to move in with him. The half Asian had seemed so calm about it, like it was the most natural thing to do, that it had appeased Chester immediately. That was why they worked so well together, they balanced each other. Mike kept Chester sane, and the artist had told his boyfriend that since he had met him, his life seemed more complete, like it had always been missing something, something that he had been searching for in Art, but that he had, instead, found in his other half.

"Chester, I can't find my keys!"

The blonde man turned around to see his boyfriend standing near their bedroom door as he looked at Chester with panic in his eyes and the other man frowned.

"It's okay, we'll take mine-"

"But my bike, I need my keys, I-"

Chester wasn't used to see Mike in such a panic state since it was usually him that was stressing about everything, but he understood why his lover was acting this way. After all, after he graduated, he could finally begin to do what he truly loved.

The blonde man walked toward his boyfriend and took his hands in his, squeezing them reassuringly. "Have you looked in your backpack? We went to your parent's house the last time you used your motorcycle, remember?"

Mike sighed as he closed his eyes, mentally hitting himself on his forehead, before he shook his head, a small smile appearing on his face.

"You're right, I know exactly in which pocket they are." He sighed before he looked at his boyfriend. "I'm sorry, Ches, I'm just so nervous-"

Chester squeezed his lover's hands once again, smiling now too. "It's okay, I understand."

The half Asian leaned to kiss Chester's lips, and the kiss was sweet and tender. The blonde man still had butterflies in his stomach every time his lover kissed him, and he hoped the feeling would never go away.

"You look handsome, you know that?" Mike finally said, looking at his boyfriend up and down.

Chester blushed. "I really don't know about that, I feel a bit weird wearing a suit-"

Mike shook his head. "You're stunning, Ches." He kissed him one more time, before letting go of his lover to go search his keys.

Mike was taking too long to come back from their room, and Chester decided to go in there see what his lover was up to.

When he got inside, Mike was just sitting on the bed, keys squished in one hand, knuckles white and eyes shut. He was shaking a bit and his leg bounced up and down at an abnormal fast pace. Chester sighed silently and sat down next to his boyfriend, and only then the half Asian opened his eyes and jumped slightly.

"H-hey. I was just-" He was interrupted by a tender kiss.

"Just relax. Focus on me. My lips, my touch." Chester said, their lips still touching, foreheads resting against one another, and slowly, the half Asian calmed down, focusing only on the softness and tenderness of his lover. They broke the kiss and their eyes fluttered open, interlocked in an almost mystic gaze. "Everything will be fine. If you're nervous, look at me and only me."
