The word goodbye
Dangles about in our minds
As if we spoke it
it would bring our demise
So we don't say it
We don't say goodbye
It leaves the texts open; the conversations
Are thought about for a while.
But one day, the last day,
I will message you goodbye.
It won't be the word that brings demise,
Simply the word that says:
I'll see you in another time.
