Glancing up at you sheepishly, Loki clutched his bloody hands close to his chest to hide the flowers that he coughed up just before you came in.

"Flowers? What flowers?"

Smiling sadly, Loki watched you from a far, feeling that familiar tickle in his throat as the flowers forced their way up his windpipe.

Normally Loki would clean up the flowers after they came up but today he forgot and left one single, bloody, yellow Acacia on the counter.

"Telling them won't fix this, why would they like me?"

Normally Loki would deal with this on his own but sometimes his body had other ideas, as he collapsed right in front of you in a coughing fit.

"I know surgery will help..but there's a cost with that.."

Coughing and gagging could be heard in the Avengers complex, it seemed as though it came from where Loki was situated in the building.
