I knew it , i knew this wasn't the reality , i knew there was something more to it , i am really sorry y/n! How could i judge someone wrong ? What lawyer am i? I wasn't able to give justice to someone who was innocent. Damn it she got imprisoned for one year because of me... Why jin why? Were you blinded.. never in my career i had judged someone wrong , then how could i judge someone as pure and kind hearted as y/n wrong??!
I was pulled out of my thought by a sudden ring of bell Jungkook must be here, he needs to know this... maybe this way i can make it up to her
"Whats up hyung?" Came a worried looking jungkook "Come here." I motioned him to sit next to me as i played the CD again... "Hyung why are you showing me this again?" Asked a confused jungkook "Now watch this." I said as i inserted another CD and played it "This is when it all started" i paused the footage for a while and then pointed at the truck on the CCTV footage "The truck got in their way but wait and see what will happen." I resumed it until the scene played where they manage to prevent the accident.. "See y/n was the one driving at that time but she managed to prevent the accident .. see she steered the car into another direction and prevented it." Jungkook looked at me confused
Jungkook's POV
What is jin hyung trying to tell me "Now check this out." He said as he pulled out a picture out of his pocket. "Who is this?" I asked as i looked at the picture of the man who seemed to be in his mid 30s . "Thats the truck driver that got into their way." He told me "What are you trying to tell me hyung?" I asked "I am saying that the accident was Junghyun's fault and not y/n!" I stated "WHAT?!Hyung how could you say that?" I asked him surprised "Yes, let me say this all again.. From the start, i mean since that day , the day of hearing i have been feeling this weird thing called 'guilt' in my heart, whenever i looked at y/n i felt that there is more to the truth so i decided to reopen the case , remember the other day i came to you with papers??I am sorry i lied to you but i wanted your signature to reopen the case so i lied to you because i knew you wouldn't reopen it.. anyways i went to the site of accident to investigate.. and i found another CCTV footage which showed a truck coming in their way." He stopped for a while and continued "the video made me confused ,when i saw that y/n managed to prevent accident i was curious to know that what caused the accident later so i tried to find that truck driver, after talking to alot of people i got to know that this is the truck driver." He paused for a while and pointed at the picture before continuing
"This is the truck driver that usually transports things at that time.i mean the time when the accident happened ,so i investigated more and more until i found his address and decided to talk to him..and you know what the truck driver told me... he said that after he got in their way he got out of the car to apologise to them and he told me that it was the man and not the woman who drove the car after the incident.. he said that the woman was in shock so the man must have decided to take over ." He continued " what caused the accident later , only y/n can tell but we can now safely say that it wasn't her fault that the accident happened, instead something happened while junghyun was driving!" He finished as he scanned my expressions
I didnt know what to say anymore , what to think anymore.. whatever hyung told just put me in shock.... or maybe guilt...??? Was i guilty ? Was i feeling bad for y/n? Did i just commit a sin by putting an innocent person behind the bars ... how could i ? How?how could i do this to her?
Brain: you exactly knew that the proofs weren't enough but you were blinded by revenge Me: ... why didnt she say anything? Why Brain: she tried, but you didnt listen... me: Damn it Heart: somewhere i knew she was innocent
A tear trickled down my cheek as hyung brought me out of my thoughts
"Get yourself together Jungkook.. i am as much a guilty as you, Infact i should be more ashamed than you, how can i ,being a lawyer judge someone so wrong?but now is not the time to dwell upon things.. Go tell her , admit your fault and above all of this tell her about your feelings.. i know jungkook, this hyung can see everything , i know you love her , i know that with time you have developed feelings for her , go tell her and i know she ll forgive you, our y/n has a big heart she definitely will." He smiled as he kept a hand on my shoulder
