example: I stared into his emerald green orbs. He stared into my posy pink orbs. Then BAM! we were in love.
what is so romantic about calling 'eyes' 'orbs'? I don't get it. I don't even know the colour of my crush's eyes...
See, when I read 'orbs' in a story, I can do one of three things:
a) quietly put my phone down in disgust
b) scream and throw the phone across my room, yelling "EW EW EW"
c) laugh my arse off and sceenshot it.(c is a very rare case, but it does happen.)
I know the whole point of clichés is that they're overused, but seriously? This is why Wattpad users have fun poked at them. This is why 'trapped in a island with josh hutcherson" is considered the overall standard for this hellsite. This is bulletpoint one on the "how to write stories like a basic 13 year old girl in an oversized sweater" list.
jeez.
