14- expect the unexpected

Saiki P.O.V

That was definitely weird, teruhashi always was behind me because of the fact that I didn't payed attention to her, now that no one payed the attention she needed, she probably feels devastated

In other news...

She looked pretty...

And I mean pretty pretty, such a simple dress but it definitely accentuated her curves and eyes, her hair just doing what it wanted

-kusuo, why are you here?-

My thoughts were soon interrupted by her raspy hand on my hand, she looked concerned and curious, her big eyes scratching my soul and her sweet voice soothing my  heart

-hey... you sure you're alright? Do you need something?, I could get you water but you have to wait here fo- I cut her off by putting my hand on her mouth, trying not to make it uncomfortable.

I had listened to her conversation with makoto earlier and I was definitely not gonna let her go again with that bastard...

-okay! Wait here dude, I'll tell makoto for a cup of wa-hey hey hey! What are you doing?- I took her hand hand into mine and guide her out of the big house, trying to get out of the big mass of people, I could just teleport to my house and no one would notice, but doing it quickly would  mean no taking (y/n)'s Hand for a longer time...

Ahhh get it together Saiki Kusuo... you're not supposed to think like this

-okay okay! We're out! What had gotten into you?- I didn't listened to her and suddenly let my eyes shut, my head leaning into the space of her neck, inhaling her sweet aroma  and just enjoying  the moment while I could, I haven't felt so good these last days, so this was definitely the cherry of the cake

-oh... umm, I'll take you to your home shall we? You don't look that good- she took me by the arm  and sighed, I did not wanted to waste this time just being ill so I took her hand and teleported us to the quietest place I could think of

-why... are we here?-

-let's stay the night... please- i panted, trying to convince her, I finally gave her a kind smile, a true smile, she just nodded

-okay, wait here, I swear I'm not gonna Run away, I just need to go for something- she paused -stay here!-

The sky was a deep blue, stars flashing my eyes and the mere sound of nature in my ears, I loved here, I never really knew where i was, I just loved the peace in this place, everything was like my own place, the only person that knew where I could be was me.

Now it was like our place.

-I came back! I brought some blankets, i brought beer because I fucking need alcohol in my system or else i- she was cut off by my smile , she took it as a surprise and smiled back , that smile that made me go crazy this past month, I was not keen on letting that Grin go away

-thank you, let's eat and drink shall we?- she nodded calmly and sat next to me, we didn't really felt cold due to our powers but the thought of cuddling with her in a soft blanket was something I would definitely enjoy, I wrapped myself in a blue blanket and she had a gray one for her, we just sat in silence, drinking alcohol (not my preference of course, but it looked like she enjoyed it so I shrugged it off)
It was nice having someone who doesn't want you for something exactly, who isn't trying to fit in or want to be accepted , just... live.

And we stayed like that....

Until she was drunk af

-you k-knooow... stars are not gaassses hehe- I rolled my eyes, how could she be so imprudent when I wanted to pass time with the real (y/n)??

-right... so what are they?- I said bored, still I was amused by her alcohol tolerance, at this pace a normal human would have been dead, but (y/n) managed to drink at least 10 cans of beer with a shot of vodka...

And she was just giddy

-stars are the paint creation of Deborah! The goddess of the sky! She looooves to-to paint, and so her biiiggest canvas is... the sky!- she giggle while falling and resting her head in my lap, a continuos action she had done since an hour ago

-huh really... I thought stars were hot gasses that get old with the time and all that shit... not drops of paint from an imaginary goddess- I half chuckled, she then put a finger into my lips and whispered a soft "shhh"

-what is up with humans and their neeeeed to know everything? Why can't you just imagine and believe huh? HUH??- she paused and sighed composing herself -you think everything has a math solution, you think something has to come out of something in order to exist, and you think eeeeeevrthing can be explain... c'mon saiki! Live a little, why do you need to know everything?? Don't you want a little of wonder in your life?- she finished, I sighed in relief but my air was cut in my throat once I saw her next actions, slowly she got of from my lap and positioned herself into my lap now...

Fuck

-why do you think everything can be explained?-

-b-because I'm scared of the unknown- I said between gulps

-huh...- she paused and took her opportunity to place her head on my neck -are you scared of me?- she finally asked

-what? No, of course not-

-why? For all you know, I could be a completely different type of person, I could be planning your death, or i could- I cut her off and smiled at her, our faces now inches away, feeling her cold breath (which is weird) tickling my face

-I trust you...- I said

-why?-

-because you're special- she finally smiled, hugged me and giggled, not before planting a quick peck on my lips

To say I was in shock was not that powerful, I was about to die, she seemed to not give importance to it because she just kept hugging me, I decide to shrugged it off, thinking it was due to the alcohol

-and what if I told you I hate coffee jelly?- she joked

-I would kill you myself- we both laughed, enjoying the moment together and hoping to discover the unknown without thinking to much

The biggest mistake I have ever made in my god damn life
