Jiyho's POV

I climbed up the strategically hidden ladder to the window I knew all to well. I carefully walked up the sloped roof and grabbed onto the windowsill. I pulled up the screen, followed by the glass.

"Yo, yo, yo," I said.

Mina laughed. "Hey, dude."

I smiled. "Help a gal out?" I asked, putting my hands out into her room.

She sighed. "No. You gotta go."

I was confused for a second, but soon realized why.

"Hey," she said. "You're really upset about this, aren't you?"

"Yeah!" I called back. "Of course! You're my only friend. It's weird to think that it's your last day here."

We were silent for a few minutes. I fiddled with the ring that lay on my finger.

"Why so far?" Were the only feeble words I could choke out behind the tears.

Mina sobbed softly. "Only 5 hours."

I laughed bitterly. "That's not a number you put 'only' in front of."

We both laughed softly. It was hard to make something like this funny. I'm losing my best friend. The only person that has ever been there for me. It's been 13 years since I first met her on the first day of preschool.

And Mina's going through that same as me.

Except she has to start over.
