Jihyo's POV

I knocked on Tzuyu's closed window three times.

"Not now!" she yelled.

I laughed. "It's Jihyo~!"

She opened the window suddenly.

I smiled. "Hey cu-"

"What did I tell you yesterday?" she cut in.

I was taken aback. "Um, I'm not sure."

She rolled her eyes. "I have a really big test next week, I can't waste time talking to you right now."

I laughed.

Tzuyu didn't.

"Wait," I hesitated. "Are you serious?"

She half smiled. "Yeah. I am."

My face dropped. "Come on, Chewy. This is ridiculous. We're friends."

I saw her flinch at the nickname. "I never told you you could call me that."

I laughed again. "Chewy, this is ridiculous. You can study for yo-"

"I said don't call me that!"

I flinched back.

"Get off of my roof. School is more important than you."

I felt a tear run down my face. "Yeah, yeah," I sniffled. "I'll leave."

I ran down the roof, hoping that Tzuyu would call after me like she did all those times before.

She never did.

Tzuyu's POV

I sat back down on my bed, my heart in pain.

You did what you had to, I thought. School is more important than her.

I tried to convince myself that I did the right thing and to keep studying, but I spent the rest of the night sobbing.
