The Separation

SINCE WE WERE APART- Chapter 2 (She leaves)

John POV
J- Go on kenz...
K- I-I have to leave.
J- What!? But why? Did I do something wrong?
K- Oh.... no, no it's my family. We are moving to Pittsburgh.
J- ......
K-John say something.
J- Kenz. I-I don't know what to say.
I was shook. Kenzie had never mentioned leaving earlier. I could see that she was as much shocked and sad about the situation as me.
K- John. Are you mad at me?
Her voice was cracking. She was fighting the urge to cry.
J- No
K- D-Do you want to b-breakup with me?
J- What!? No. No I would even think of breaking up with you.
It was true. I was mad but not at her, at the situation we were in. My mind would never come to the terms of breaking up with her. After all, I loved her.
K- Will you be able to do long distance?
J- Will you ?
K- Yes
J- Then me too.
She finally smiled. My pain eased so much after seeing her smile.
J- So, H-how long? For how long are you going?
K- An year.
An year was a long time, even for us. But I didn't show my disappointment to her in anyway.
K- I know that's long.
J- I can wait for you my entire life.
She blushed
J- Just don't find an other guy or else I'll beat him to death. I'm not even kidding.
K- Never. And, you're also prohibited to see any other girl behind my back. Get it?
J- Maybe
I said jokingly. She laughed at that.
I leaned in to kiss her. She's kissed back. This time of it was different. It was more passionate. Maybe because we knew it would be our last for a very long time.
K- I love you John.
J- I love you to kenz. *next day*
I went to drop kenzie at the airport.
J- Don't forget to call me as soon as you land.
K- Goodbye Johnny
J- Goodbye Kenzie
And that was it. Those were my last words for Mackenzie Ziegler before she left.
