The Fight

SINCE WE WERE APART- Chapter 6 (7 months later) *At School*
John POV
K- Hey.
I could identify that voice anytime.
J-*turns around*
It was indeed her. My heart skipped a beat. She was actually standing in front of me. I felt weak in my knees.
J- H-Hey.
K- So-uh-it’s been-uh-a long time. Isn’t it?
J- Ya, long time.
Not long enough for me to get over you.

Kenz POV
I was trying to be friendly and all but he was avoiding even to look at me. It was awkward as hell.
K- Uhh.. so I’ll see you... later. I guess?
J- Yeah.

John POV
*kenzie leaves*
J- Well that was awkward. (Under his breath)
*Ashton comes*
A- Hey! Umm... Johnny... right?
J- Yeah.
I felt very uncomfortable talking to him.
A- So, do you know where Kenz is?
J- Ya, she went that way.
I said coldly.
A- Ok. BTW where’s your girlfriend??
J- For your information, I’m single. Thanks to you.
A- What do you mean?
J- I mean how many other girls have you stolen before her!!!
Man, I was actually angry.

Kenzie POV
I was talking to Lauren when I saw Johnny and Ashton talking to each other.
It didn’t look like a friendly chat. I looked at Lauren and she looked back at me. Both of us rushed towards them.
K- Ashton, lets go.
He ignored me.
A- You’ve got bit of a temper. Haven't you? But there’s no way you’re talking to me like that.
*Ashton punches Johnny in the face *
J- How dare you!?
*Johnny punches back*
Soon it became a fight. Hayden ran from the other end of the corridor and tried to pull Johnny away and Lauren helped him. I was frozen. I didn’t know what to do. Everyone was watching us. Some were even hooting. Johnny looked at me.
J- Mackenzie.... you’ve changed.
There was pain in his voice. I knew he was hurt because he never used to call me Mackenzie.
Oh no! The principal saw us. He called all of us to his office.
