The next day was holiday due to some reasons which only our school knows.

I got ready to go to the Dakshineswar Temple for the diya puja with my *beloved cousins* (Sarcasm intended).

I was wearing a green coloured top with red short leggings. My hair was in a tight ponytail.

We reached the temple. This temple is located in Dakshineswar near Kolkata and is situated on the eastern bank of the Hooghly (Ganges) River.

"Arre, Anika, you look good" Sirat di said.

I wish I could stop them from calling me Anika.
Shambhavi is the name for the world.
And Anika is the name for me and my close ones to call me.
And they can never be close.

The presiding deity of the temple is Bhavatarini, an aspect of Kali.

We walked in when our turn came and did the Darshan.

I never ever felt unhappy about coming to this place

I never ever felt unhappy about coming to this place.
It gives me the vibes of as if it's my home only.
And these vibes aren't even given to me by the Kalighat temple.
And only reason I didn't want to come here this time was my cousins.

We then walked towards the Shiv Temples.

All this temples were built in 1855 by Rani Rasmani after she got a dream.
Sri Ramkrishna is said to have meditated here to reach enlightenment.

I tried to avoid talking to my cousins as much as I could.

"Twelve identical Shiva temples are established here on the banks of the River Hooghly. Each temple has a Shiva linga made of black stone. Each of the twelve temples represents a Jyotirlinga. This series of temples are divided by the river bank leaving six Shiv temples in the right and other six in the left. " I heard a tour guide telling this to a group of foreigners.
