Chapter 8

Dani's pov
I chilled with lil DeeDee for a short time then we went back down stairs, when we got down I saw kida starring at me it was really awkward. He came to me and looked at me in my eyes and grabs my hands.

Kida : (low voice) look I'm sorry everything that you have through.
Dani : (looks away)
Kida : look I'm sorry for what I've put you through...
Dani : (walks out the door)

Lil DeeDee and I waited outside for a Uber.

Dee : You know what you did to kida aint right.
Dani : ohhh so you on his side now
Dee : nah man like kida is my best friend, how could you do that? I know you angry but nah man

I walked away from lil DeeDee and decided to go to Aariyahs house, when I got there I saw some guy with a HUGE afro sitting by the couch

Teo : hey I'm Mateo, kidas friend
Dani : (sits next to him) I'm Dani... is it true that kidas aunt died that's why he didn't come back
Teo : Nah that's a lie his just been busy, why you asking do you like him.
Dani : Nah

~so he lied to me😧~

Teo : Don't lie everyone likes him.
Dani : I used to
Teo : Look if you tell me what happened between yall I'll literally do anything for you right now (turns to me )

I explained him what had happened between me and kida.

Dani : You see I don't know if I still like him... now i want you to take me to the airport.
Teo : why
Dani : I'm going to my uncles place.

Before Teo could ask me so many questions I ran up and packed my bags then I wrote a letter that was gonna give to Aariyah before I leave
The letter -

Dear Aariyah
I'm so sorry Aariyah about what I'm about to do. I've made so many mistakes in my life and loving kida was one of them. I am taking the next flight to New York, you might never see me again. I'm sorry but I have to go, tell DeeDee I said bye #Teo is taking me to the airport. You can't change how people feel about you so don't try. Just live your life and be happy.Bye

As I got down I saw Teo was already in the car. I put my bags in the car and got the letter.

Dani : Teo, I'm coming going to put this letter under the door
Teo : ok cool be fast
Dani : Yeah okay

As I got to the door I really felt like crying but I had to hold it in. I put the letter but the hole that was in the middle of the door. I quickly ran back into the car and sat at the back of the car.

Teo : Are you sure about this
Dani : yeah I'm sure, come let's go

As I was sitting I started thinking about kida and the song '' River of tears'' started playing

Dani : (tears dropping and singing) I don't know why I keep letting you lie to me...
Teo : What's wrong you thinking bout kida
Dani : (wipes her tears) yeah
Teo : So you still love him, but don't wanna be with him.
Dani : Yeah that's why I'm going to New York to avoid any emotional break down.
Teo : ohhh

Aariyahs pov
After Dani went to my house I wasn't talking to kida about how he must win her heart back.As I was talking to him a letter got in through the door.

Dee : I'll get it

DeeDee got the letter and while he was reading it he got into shock.

Dee : (confused) Aariyahs this for you.
Aariyah and kida : what's it about
Dee : Read

Me and kida read it as we were done kida ran upstairs looking angry.

Aariyah : Why would she ever do that to me.
Dee : I don't know, worst part Teo is driving her to the airport
Aariyah : (a tear drops) I know hey

Kida's pov
Even though Danielle was angry at me I was happy to see her. After I read the letter I ran up and sent her a message

The chat -
Kida : Look Danielle I'm sorry, please come back I never meant to hurt you in that way. I still love you.
Dani : Don't you dare use the word love on me because you broke my heart and our friendship.
Kida : I'm not lying I'm really sorry please come back.

I ignored kida and left him on read. We finally arrived at the airport and it was about 6pm.
