Taehyun's POV

[Flashback]

I remembered the happiest day of my life so far.

It happened when I was 7.

My dad was out. He was in his business trip.

Which meant mom and I were free from his abusive hands.

"Do you want to go out Taehyun?" mom asked.

"Yesss!" I screamed cheerfully.

I dressed nicely that day.

Every second of that day was happy. It was just mom and I.

We went to the movies, she bought me delicious food and she even let me play in the playground.

We were about to leave, but I saw the plushie store.

The 7 year old me stared at the stuffed animals in awe.

Mom must've noticed cuz i suddenly stopped walking.

"Do you want one?" mom asked.

I nodded, smiling.

I wandered around the huge store. It has so many stuffed animals.

I was so happy seeing the plushies that came in all sizes.

I grew attatched to a fox plushie.

"Mom I want this!" I said, pointing to the stuffed toy I wanted.

"Nice pick tae. We'll take it home" Mom grabbed it and payed for it at the counter.

I remembered jumping nonstop and thanking mom for a million times.

I was the happiest kid that day.

We never got the chance to go out because of dad.

You know... Dad is- i don't wanna talk about it.

We left as I was holding on the fox plushie so tight.

But suddenly, I needed to go to the bathroom.

I told mom and she waited for me outside.

But after going to the washroom, I forgot my plushie and misplaced it somewhere.

Mom noticed.

"Where's the plushie?" She asked.

We were already far from the mall when she asked.

I looked at my bag.

It wasn't there.

"Oops..." Is all 7 year old Taehyun said.

"Becareful next time." mom scolded. "I'll just buy another next time." mom promised.

"Okay!" I said cheering up.

And right now, the fox plushie i lost 10 years ago is in my hands again.

This may not be the exact thing that mom bought, but this also came from a special person.

Choi Beomgyu.

He's a special person to me now. I consider him as a friend already.

He's my first one.

"Taehyun, you're smiling!" He said in a cheerful manner.

"I'm not!" I denied.

"Oh yes you are! You look cute! Please smile more" He said, teasing me.

" i don't"

"Yes you do!" He convinced me.

"I-"

I was about to say something, but he went above me and tickled me.

"PUHAHAHAHAHAHHAA. STOP" I told Beomgyu to do so.

"See. You look cute!" he grabbed his phone from his pocket and took a photo of me.

"Hey delete that!" I said, reaching for his cellphone.

"No. This is literally the cutest thing in my phone's gallery right now" He said, pinching my cheeks.

I can't help but smile again.

You made me so happy today.

Choi Beomgyu, who are you to make me feel different sorts of emotions?

"Thank you." I said, while smiling genuinely.

It felt good to do so after a long time.
