Garrett

My eyes are burning right now. Tears, flood down my face. Why am I even upset? What right do I have to be upset? He can kiss who he wants. Whoever he wants. It's not like he wants me. He has never, said he wants me. But there I was. Stupid ass Garrett. Thinking that someone could like me for once. I hobble to the end of the drive. I can hear him screaming behind me. I can't understand what he's saying. I don't even know where I'm going. I have no way of getting home.

"GARRETT, PLEASE."

I ignore him and try to pick up the pace. Big mistake. My legs buckle beneath me and I fall to the ground. He catches me up easily. To be fair, I think he would have even if I hadn't tripped.

Andrew

How can this be real? Morgan stares at me horrified.

"I'm so sorry."

I ignore her, already running to the door. I see him hobbling down the drive.

"GARRETT, STOP."

Please stop. Please, Garrett. I need to do this tonight. Otherwise, I'll bottle it. I begin to chase after him, before seeing him trip. I pick up the pace. Oh god, I hope he's not hurt. This is all my fault. Morgan is standing in the doorway horrified. Ry's just beside her. Shane's next to me. I reach Garrett first.

"Oh god, are you ok?"

He flinches at my touch.

"I'm fine."

"You sure?"

He turns his body away from me. I know he's pissed. Embarrassed. Shane bends down next to him.

"You ok Gare?"

"I'm fine."

"Why were you even running?"

He turns to me confused. He probably thinks I got to confess my love. Please don't say anything Garrett.

"I wanted to give them some privacy."

"Who?"

"Andrew and Morgan. Who do you think? You've probably all known for ages. I'm always the last to know these things. I didn't even know he'd broken up with Megan."

"What?"

I give Shane a warning glance. He turns, to look up at Morgan in the doorway. Ryland's engulfed her in a hug.

"Can someone, please tell me what the hell is going on?"

I kick his leg. How can he not understand the warning glance?

"That's what I'd like to know," Garrett comments sarcastically from the ground.

"I'll explain later." I try to mutter.

"Why?"

Can Shane ever be quiet?

"Not to me. I'm heading home."

Please don't. How do I stop him?

"I can drive you." I offer eagerly.

Chill Andrew.

"Nah, I'll Uber I think."

"No, really I can give you a lift?"

"Stop it," Shane mutters.

Huh, I guess he can be quiet when he wants to be. I drop it.

"Can you give me a hand up?"

Shane pulls him up while I stand far back. Too scared I'll screw up. The pain on his face is evident. But he doesn't complain, bless him.
