Chapter 16
I asked him if I could sleep over
he said yes.
I don’t want to go home.
My mom was there.
My mom scares me.
I sit back in his car.
It’s late.
He talks to me in the car.
He talks about sports and movies.
He tells me about sister.
He tells me about how his dad died.
I tell him my dad is in jail.
He doesn’t say anything.
His house lights were on when we got there.
He asks if I need clothes.
I blush and nod.
He doesn’t make a big deal.
He just says okay.
His mom looked up at me when I walked in.
She gave me a smile.
I looked down.
His sister was there too.
She smiled.
He tells them I’m staying over.
His mother said she didn’t mind.
She looked at my black eye.
She smiles nervously.
I walked up the stairs behind him.
He got clothes from his sisters closet.
They looked good and they smelled good too.
I changed in the bathroom.
He said I could sleep in his room.
I said okay.
