Olivia POV (6/22/19)
Hi I'm Olivia, im Dominican and as of right now I'm still a Freshman, will until this period ends. Let me inform you a little bit. Mr. Iglesias is one of the best teacher in the world. I wouldn't really describe myself as the smart one, I'm not the dumbest person but I have my moments were I come in handle. I kinda, might have, have a tiny crush on Mikey we mess you could say, we flirt with each other sometimes but it isn't official. I live with my mom since my dad left us when I was seven years old. Me and my mom aren't as close as we were before he left. I look up to Mr.Iglesias as if he was my dad. Kinda weird I know but I mean I don't have a dad figures my life. I sit next to My bestfriend Lorenzo.
"All right it's the last day of school, and we have five minutes to go over all of American history" Mr.Iglesias told us, which Marisol answered for all of us. "Wiped out the indigenous people, oppressed the black, did some good stuff around the World War II and now the sun is setting the on our empire" Mr.Iglesias sighs and says "Yeah. I guess we did cover it all" then Lorenzo decided to speak up. "Yeah and even some stuff that never happened" "like ........... landing on the moon" I said thinking out loud. Everyone looked at me. While Lorenzo pats my arm saying good girl. I scoff and say "come on" Mr.Iglesias looks at me and says "you know I really have to get you off Reddit Olivia.. All right I see everyone gazing looking at the window ready to go full Braveheart on everyone" he started yelling out the window but I didn't pay attention since Mikey who sat across from me next to Marisol was looking at me our staring contest was cut "short" when Principal Paula came in. People gasp and starting sitting up straight, Mikey winked at me and I blushed. "At ease y'all. Mr.Iglesias is the cool teacher. Why can't I be the cool principal" I raised my hand to answer the question when Lorenzo put my hand down and Mr.Iglesias told me it wasn't a real question. The bell rang and everyone got up to leave. "Hold on,Hold on. Before you run off and ghost ride your whips, play dominos on your stoop, drink your sizzurp" principal Paula said. Lorenzo turned and asked us "What is this old beat talking about?" She ignored him and continued "I want y'all to tell me something y'all learn this year" "Grace you wanna make me look good in front of principal Madison" Iglesias said. P Madison turned to Mr Iglesias and asked if Grace talks in front of people since she has social anxiety, which she doesn't she talks from her computer. Grace's computer said "I learned that Principal Madison sometimes cries in the parking lot in her Ford Fiesta" we all tried to hold our laughs and then Mr. I cleared his throat. "Not shy enough" Principal M said, then continued "and for the record it is a Hyundai Elantra" while Mr I walked around to Grace and closed her computer and said "And for the record Grace's WiFi just went bye bye" "Some if you I'll see you next year" Principal M said and left. "What what do you mean some" Mr.I yelled and asked but all you could hear is Marisol saying we just became Sophomores. I walked out to my locker which is next to Mikey. "Hey so what u doing this summer" Mikey asked me as he came to his locker. "Nothing, it's probably gonna be boring" I reply "Maybe we could go out sometimes" I was gonna reply and say yes I would love to when Carlos walked to us and gave us a letter then walked away. Mikey tapped his on his locker thinking it's a bill. You know school finds. "Hey you guys got it too" Mr.I walked over to us. "That's it He took it to far" he grabbed both of our letters and walked away. "Wait I have more bills" Mikey yelled out towards him. I laughed. "Anyway, I would love to go out sometimes" I told him. "Awesome" he said and put his arm over my shoulders while we walked towards Mr.I class since he wanted to tell us something. We sat down
"Okay guys I have some good news and bad news. Y'all get to stay" everyone cheered while I was confused. "Wait when was I leaving" I asked. They looked at me and seen my confused face. Lorenzo pat my arm, he seems to do that a lot I don't know why. "The bad news is we have to do summer school" Mr.I continued everyone booed. They get up and are about to walk out while I was still confused on what just happened. "Come on Olivia we'll explain it to you" Walt told me while they got my stuff and walked me out the door
