CHAPTER 7: Truth

TIME SKIP: The next day (Wednesday)

WONYOUNG'S POV

"So is it Namjoon's turn now" Nayeon said and I sigh "Can we not?" I asked them "But you've been saying no to it every time" Yunmi reclaimed "You agreed anyway" I said "It's cause there are transfer students but now it's Namjoon's turn to get bullied" she said "Can we not? I am serious, let's pass" I said "Do you like Namjoon" Nayeon said "No" I said sternly "Then why?" she asked. Should I lie or tell the truth, if I tell the truth it will affect Songhye, if I lie it might affect our friendship "I don't know" okay good job Wonyoung, just good job gosh "Pshh, who cares Namjoon need to be and has to be bullied, he's the only one left" Yunmi said "What about Jinwoo?" I asked and they think "Keep him out of sight" Nayeon said "So nothing can literally stop you now?" I asked them "No one and nothing will" She added and I sigh "what will Songhye say, Jinwoo is her close friend and Namjoon is her cru- classmate" I almost said the truth shit, "That was a long time ago they are avoiding each other now, and besides Songhye don't even care if we bully someone she always stay out of business" Nayeon said and there's nothing more I can do "Okay fine, but don't put the blame on me if someone come to us rampaging" I said, referring to Songhye but since they have no idea at the secret at all, "Oh Jinwoo? Who cares" they said "yeah sure" I said sarcastically 

Sorry Songhye, I did my best to stop them I said to my mind not knowing what to do anymore

YOUR POV

I was strolling around school when I saw Jinwoo "Should I approach him?" I said to myself "Maybe it's the time, it's been 2 years now" I said ready to walk but "But what if he ignore me" I said taking a step back "Who cares it's just this once" I said and then walked to his direction, when I was getting close a girl suddenly appeared "Hyennie" he called out "Woonieee" the girl said "How's my best friend doing" he suddenly said and a tear escaped my eyes "I'm fine" the girl said

Well I'm not; did my best friend just replace me already? I thought we're just avoiding each other not replacing each other, I kept the promise he want to keep but then he broke his promise to me. Am I no one to him now, am I a stranger now?

I decided to stop walking and watch them but they walked to my direction tears fall more and more as I saw them laughing together, "at least you look happy, my friend" I mumbled making sure no one will hear but I'm sure he did cause I met his eyes, he stopped laughing but continued walking and walked pass me "Okay, I'll let you go now my friend, you're a stranger and I shall forgot my promise now" I said and run away....

JINWOO'S POV

I was walking around the campus when I saw my Best friend Minhye, "Hyenieee" I called out and she looked at me "Woonieee" she said and walked to my direction "how's my best friend doing" I said smiling "I'm fine" she said and both of us decided to walk back to our classroom, both of us are smiling but then I saw Songhye looking at us and she was crying "at least you look happy, my friend" she said when we walked pass her, I stopped walking and turned around but I saw her running away already "Don't go..." I said, like what I said before.....

FLASHBACK: 2 years ago

JINWOO'S POV

I am standing in front of Songhye and I am looking at her while she was crying "What do you mean avoid each other!" she yelled hitting my chest "I make myself clear, let's avoid each other" I said looking at her as cold as possible "Approach me 2 years from now same date, that's when I will talk to you again" I said and she cried even more "You really don't care for me do you!" she yelled "Yeah, that's why I want to avoid you, and see if I still know you after 2 years" I said and she hit my chest harder "Yah! It hurts!" I suddenly yelled and I accidently pushed her to the ground "I thought you we're pranking me *sobs* but I guess I was never your friend at all and you just pity me" she said and stand up while her knees we're bleeding "I thought you'll stop me from hitting you and hug me since I'm your friend, but instead you push me cause I am not your friend am I" she said and my heart shattered "I" I started but she snickered "Stop it already..... See you in 2 years.... Stranger" she said and run away, leaving me alone

When she leaves all the tears I was holding back falls, everything I was holding back came out "Songhye!" I called her name but she's running away already "Don't go" I said but she left already "You're my friend..... My best friend.... I'm sorry....." I said as I remembered what her situation is when we are in kinder...

She is always bullied by the other kids, back then she was so fragile that she can shatter anytime; I am the first friend she ever had before Wonyoung, since she got bullied she has trust issue but then those were gone sooner since she learned not everyone is bad when I started talking to her. No teacher can separate us which they found cute, in every activity or games no one can bring us apart....

But now we are apart...... so far away from each other, cause I am the one who destroyed our friendship

END FLASHBACK

"Jinwoo? You coming" Minhye said "Sorry but I have to get my real best friend" I said and she was shock "What!" she yelled "I need my real friend!" I yelled and follow Songhye as fast as possible "Songhye, I remembered the promise, don't forget it please..." I muttered under my breath, I suddenly heard muffled cries so I decided to follow those but when the sound of the cries was getting closer I saw my cousin and Songhye, Namjoon is hugging her and comforting her. I felt sadness rush over me not because I am jealous or anything but because I hurt her again and I am not the one who can comfort her...

"I hurt you because of Namjoon but now you are with him" I said and just looked at them before going "I give you up, just to save Namjoon and now I lost everything" I said not knowing what to do anymore...

Sorry Songhye I said and walked away....
