CHAPTER 10: Let Go

TIME SKIP: The next day (Thursday)

NAMJOON'S POV

It was another day and I am thinking of going to school, but my body wasn't. It hurts badly, yesterday I feel no pain at my body but today I can absolutely feel it. So I decided to not to go to school for today, I was getting hungry so I forced myself to stand up. But when I opened the door Jinwoo was standing there surprised, ready to knock if I didn't open the door, "Jinwoo?" I called out and he regain his composure "Oh, Namjoon I need to talk to you about something" he said and I smiled "Yeah sure" I said and tried to walk "Gosh, I'll help you, why did you even tried to stand up" he said holding my arms and back supporting my body so I won't fall, cause it hurts so bad.

We went to the living room and he help me sit down "Why are going out your room anyway" he asked "I am hungry" I said and he snickered "When will you even stop eating" he said "When will you stop joking" I said mocking him. "Fine, I'll get you food wait here and we'll talk" he said then walked out, to get me food.

When he came back he gave me the food and seat at the chair in front of me, so I looked at him "Finish it fast and I am going to tell you something" he said "What the actual-" I was about to curse but "No cursing especially when you're eating, now eat up ppali" he said and I sigh "Yeah sure" I said and follow his orders. I finished my food as soon as possible because it seems that he's going to tell something very important

I put my plate at the coffee table that separates us two and looked at him "What now?" I asked him and he close his eyes "Answer this truthfully" he started and I didn't talked but instead I just looked at him "I am sure you like Songhye too" he said and I blushed then looked away "But are you really sure" he added and when he did my gave automatically gaze at him "What do you mean?" I asked and he looked outside and as far as I know it's raining already "mind if I tell you a story I ever shared with anyone, not even Songhye or my friends?" he asked still looking outside the window "Sure?" I said and he smile forcibly.

JINWOO'S POV

FLASHBACK

"Aren't you Jinwoo?" A guy suddenly talked while I was at the roof top waiting for Songhye "Yeah why?" I asked them back smiling "Would you stay away from her" that guy suddenly said and my smile turned into a frown "What?!" I said bringing my brows together "Looked, you're the only barrier that keeps me getting a chance at Songhye!" he said and suddenly anger rush over my body "What do I have to do about that anyway, it's clear that we are friend and she don't like you!" I yelled and that guy smirked "You have no choice then" he said and I looked at him confused "Stay away from her, or I'll make sure your cousin will suffer forever" he whispered in my ears sending shivers to my spine, he looked at me one last time smirking before leaving.

Just right then Songhye came smiling "Wonieee" she called out and I just looked at her plainly "Hey" I said as the clouds started to darken "Are we going to hang out now? I think we should go it's going to rain soon" she said holding my hands ready to drag me with her but I shove her away "Ya-yah, Jinwoo what's wrong with you?" she asked and I sighed ready to break our friendship just for my cousin but deep inside my mind I don't want to, but still I have to. "let's end our friendship" I said and at first she just laugh "I mean it" I added and she was surprised "what do you mean" she asked and I sighed "Looked I don't even know if I can call you my friend when I just use you to be famous" I said and she started to cry, and as if the weather was based on her feelings, raindrops started to fall,

Now I am standing in front of Songhye and I am looking at her while she was crying "What do you mean avoid each other!" she yelled hitting my chest "I make myself clear, let's avoid each other" I said looking at her as cold as possible "Approach me 2 years from now same date, that's when I will talk to you again" I said and she cried even more "You really don't care for me do you!" she yelled "Yeah, that's why I want to avoid you, and see if I still know you after 2 years" I said and she hit my chest harder "Yah! It hurts!" I suddenly yelled and I accidently pushed her to the ground "I thought you we're pranking me *sobs* but I guess I was never your friend at all and you just pity me" she said and stand up while her knees we're bleeding "I thought you'll stop me from hitting you and hug me since I'm your friend, but instead you push me cause I am not your friend am I" she said and my heart shattered "I" I started but she snickered "Stop it already..... See you in 2 years.... Stranger" she said and run away, leaving me alone

When she leaves all the tears I was holding back falls, everything I was holding back came out "Songhye!" I called her name but she's running away already "Don't go" I said but she left already "You're my friend..... My best friend.... I'm sorry....." I said as I remembered what her situation is when we are in kinder...

I feel sorry for my best friend, I should've think it through first but now I can't bring back time....

"So.... That's what happens" Namjoon said and I nod "Now I don't want the same thing to happen I want you to avoid her" I said, and I suddenly spaced out thinking of the next words I'll say. When I remembered it I started talking again "But if you can't then don't............" I said but then found no one in front of me "*sigh* don't make the same mistake, please" I said and also return to my room............
