Chapter IV ~ Tape 3; Side A

Zach went home soon after Clay sent the picture, seeing as his mom would have flipped if she found out he was at Rowan's house.

That morning Rowan's phone blared through the room causing her to groan, she debated just laying there and ignoring all of the Hannah drama but she reluctantly pulled off her blanket and swung her legs out of the bed. Rowan stripped out of her pajamas and then threw on a black tank top, black jeans, a pink cardigan and black boots, still trying to hide the baby bump. She put her hair in a messy bun and then pulled on her black boots.

When Rowan got to school the whole school couldn't stop talking about Tyler's picture and coming up with theories as to why clay sent it 'if only you all knew.' Rowan thought to her self as she listened to the people in the cafeteria talk. Rowan's attention was brought back to the table by Zach as he put his hand on her leg "you okay?" He asked and she nodded

"I don't know what Justin's going to do, he says he wants to shut Clay down." Jessica told the group and Marcus scoffed "we tried that" "clay must have listened to his tape, I'm telling you he listens to his tape and everything changes." Zach told them but Rowan cut him off "he hasn't, he just finished Tyler's. He doesn't know about us or about Jessica's party."

"When he hears he'll probably believe Hannah. He won't know she's lying." Jessica told them as Zach and Marcus shared a look "Clays mom is talking to Bolan." Courtney said as she sat down next to Marcus "what? Why?" Zach asked "what else could it be?" Courtney asked and Rowan shook her head "no way, that's no way he told his mom." "Why not? He wasn't exactly shy about Tyler." Marcus snapped back

"It's so fucked up if he told his mom, I'm with Justin we need to do something serious." Zach decided and Jessica scoffed "why so your mom doesn't find out?"

"Yeah or other people like your dad." Zach shot back "what can we do if he already ratted us out?" "He didn't rat anyone out." Rowan snapped and everyone looked at her with raised brows "we wouldn't be sitting here if he did, we would be sitting in a police station." Everyone started to argue causing the hormonal teenager to roll her eyes "guys." Rowan said grabbing their attention as Tyler walked up

"are you guys talking about clay?" He asked "keep your voice down dude!" Zach snapped, Tyler sat down next to Courtney and she scooted closer to Marcus "what ever your doing I want in." Tyler defies and all the girls rolled their eyes "were not doing anything Tyler." "And it's not like we would trust you if we were." Courtney finished for the blonde.

"This... this isn't fair." Tyler scoffed "dude get the hell out." Zach threatened and Tyler rolled his eyes "I have a right to be here." "I will snap your arm in two." Zach said in a low voice causing Tyler to get up and walk away "let me deal with it okay?" Courtney asked as she got her food out "quietly, no snapping of arms."

It turned out Courtney tried to talk to clay but he brought Courtney to Hannah's grave and blamed her for Hannah's death.

After school Rowan went back to her house not in the mood to deal with anyone anymore. She took a shower and then walked into her room and changed into gray joggers, a tie die hoodie and threw her hair into a bun before starting on her homework.

After a few long hours of homework there was a knock at the front door, she groaned before walking down the stairs, she opened the door to see Justin standing on the porch. "Hey jus, what are you doing here?" She asked slightly shocked "can I stay here tonight?" Rowan nodded and opened the door the rest of the way, Justin walked in and then Rowan closed the door behind him.

"Why didn't you crash at Bryce's?" Rowan asked as they walked into the kitchen "all the shit going on with the tapes it's just." Justin trailed off and Rowan nodded "I get that."

"How are you with everything that's going on?" Justin asked out of the blue and Rowan shrugged, Justin stood up and grabbed a glass before pouring himself a glass of whiskey he poured a second one and tried to hand it to Rowan, "uh Justin," she said and pointed to her bump "right," he said before downing the second glass.

"what are we going to do about Clay?" Rowan asked as she watched Justin walk around the kitchen "we already took care of it." Justin told the blonde as he downed the glass

"What did you do?" Rowan asked and Justin chuckled "scared him into shutting the hell up." Rowan's shook her head and sighed "of corse you did."

"Clay needed to be silenced! You know Clay will tell every single word Hannah said on those damn tapes to any person who will listen!" Justin snapped before downing another drink "yeah, I know. All of this fucking shit with Hannah is beyond fucked up." Rowan sighed as she grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge "leaving those fucking tapes was just..." "fucked up." Justin finished for the blonde and she nodded "I get that we all fucked her over but this is just exposing all of our secrets." The blonde sighed as she sat at the kitchen island.

"You think clay will talk anyway?" Justin asked and Rowan nodded "totally." Justin rolled his eyes and downed another glass of whiskey "hey slow down that was expensive." Rowan snapped and Justin rolled his eyes "Rowan which do you think your parents are going to be more pissed about? A bottle of whiskey or a you getting knocked up?" Justin asked before downing another glass.

Rowan flipped him off before rolling her eyes "I'm going to bed, you know where the guest room is. Make sure the doors are locked before you go to sleep." Rowan walked upstairs to her room and crashed in the bed.

Rowan's house, the pink room is her bedroom and the blue and gray one is the guest room.
