I set the note down and rub my forehead . As soon as I was about to write Dante back, Anastasia came in the room.

I jumped in surprise and stuffed the note in my desk.

"Luke, I need about 5 gu-" . She started to say as she looked down at her phone in her hand.

When she heard all the noise I was making she stopped mid way in her sentence and looked up at me.

"Ummm are you okay or do I need to come back later?" Her eyebrow raised and her hand on her hip.

Clearing my throat. "No no Im okay. What did you say you needed."

She said a silent "okay" and started explaining what she needed . I blanked out . Just staring at her remembering how broken she was Dante "died" .

Anastasia started snapping her fingers in my face.

"Did you even hear anything I said?" She said looking annoyed.

"Yea I did. You need 5 guards to go undercover. gotcha." I said picking up my phone making those plans.

She looked at me weirdly for what felt like 5 minutes when in reality it was 30 seconds.

"Alrighty then, I'll talk to you later." She said leaving my office.

I responded with a "see ya later" and say back in my chair.

Everyday I feel more guilty.

Dante hurry up and come home.....

Leaving Luke's office something in my gut told me to make sure I go snoop in there later.

Why was he acting like that ?

Clearly he knew something I didn't .

And I'm going to figure it.
