LISA's POVJennie told me everything in the morning about the talks between our staffs which made me laughed so hard. I found out that they were just pranking each other because it was too quiet.
She was so embarrassed to know that. She's such a baby.
Jennie told me that her mom is on a business trip in Thailand and she suggested that we all could meet up since we're also meeting with my parents at the mall later in the afternoon. I told my mom about the acting thing so she was cool with it since it's the instruction from Mr. Yang.
I introduced my parents to Jennie's mom and she did the same.
Once Moms met, it was like the volcanoes erupted.
"So you're the girl who stole my little girl's heart?" Jennie's mom said in a serious tone.
I guess Jennie's mother did not know about the acting.
"Emm, auntie I-"
"So what if she stole your daughter's heart, what's wrong?" My mom replied cutting me off.
"What is wrong? You're also a mom and you don't know how it feels?"
"I feel proud of my kid with whatever she does." My mom replied.
Wow, my mom is so cool.
"But she's hurting my daughter."
"What? How did Lisa hurt your daughter? She even swear to protect her at all cost!" My mom defended.
"My daughter has a reputation to keep. You know how big a star she is?"
"Are you saying Lisa doesn't deserve Jennie?" My mom said. I think she's pretty mad.
Then they continued arguing for a long time until we told them to calm down. Jennie told her mom that we're just friend and that we're acting for her sake. Her mom finally calmed down and we all apologized to each other.
"So you two really feel nothing towards each other?" Jennie's mom asked.
"Oh my god, I asked Lisa the same thing!" My mom said. And both of the moms laughed.
"No, we don't. We're just friends and colleagues." Jennie and I said at the same time.
"Good good." Jennie's mom nodded and we all continued our meal.
JENNIE's POV
It was such a tense situation. Our moms really did have to fight to know each other. In just a moment ago, they fought like past enemies, now they're chit chatting like old buddies.
"Oh, on the topic of relationship. Yaya asked for you the other day." Lisa's mom spoke up.
Who's yaya?
"Yaya from when I was young? She's grown up, hasn't she?" Lisa said.
"Yes She is. And guess what? She's now a Thai famous actress and celebrity." Her mom really liked this girl I guess.
"I knew she could be one. She was always cute and pretty." Lisa said and giggled. Is she interested in her?
"I actually wanted to invite her to join us today." Her mom said and peeked at Lisa to see her expression.
"Thanks god you didn't mom." Lisa said making her mom's face dropped.
"But..."
"There's no buts mom. It's a holiday for Jennie. I'll only devote my time for her, be there for her and protect her." She said in her straight face.
Then the topic went to our childhood and the moms talked nonstop about both of our embarrassing moments. Lisa's mom mentioned that Lisa loved dancing a lot when she was young and even once won a dancing audition to go to Korea but she didn't take the opportunity. She also mentioned Lisa's friends in Thailand and how robotic she could be. I found out that she really like yellow color and her mom also told us that she love star shapes and shiny things, and cats. She even cried when she left Thailand without her cats.
We had a really nice talk and then we went shopping just the two of us since Lisa suggested that our moms should hangout.
"Lisa, should I get this or this?" I lifted the Thai casual dress and asked her.
"Get both." She said.
"Okay."
We went shopping for hours then we head back to our hotel. Lisa told me to dress in something loose for the beach we're going to visit this evening. She drove us to the nearby beach and we had some seafood and relaxed.
"Excuse me Miss, but are you Jennie Kim?" A stranger asked me while ogling my whole body.
"No, she's not. She's my girlfriend. Go away!" Lisa got up from her seat to talk to the guy and went and stood in front of me.
"You and her? Even if she's not Jennie Kim, but I don't think this hot girl over here would date you!" The rude guy said while eying Lisa up and down.
"She's mine. Go away if you don't wanna get hurt." I could see Lisa clenched her fists ready anytime for a fight. She glared at the guy like she could fry him alive. I never saw this side of her at all.
"Alright alright. I'll go away. Sweetie, find me here anytime if you dump her." He looked and checked me out once more before going. Lisa wanted to throw her punch but I stopped her before things got out of hand.
"Lisa, calm down." I stood up and whispered to her but she seemed to still be mad.
So, I hugged her. "Calm down now. He was just stupid. He's nothing compared to you. Thank you for helping me out." She seemed to have cooled down her temper and be back to her seat.
We didn't talk at all after so I wonder what's gone wrong.
"Lisa. Are you not feeling well?" I asked her worriedly. We were now walking on the beach relaxing and looking at people who were far away swimming and having their barbecue.
"No, I'm fine." She said avoiding my eyes.
"You're lying. You didn't look into my eyes." I said to her.
"Jennie, I'm fine." She looked into my eyes and said it but I know it's not a sincere answer.
"Lisa, you know I don't believe your 'I'm fine' thing. Tell me what's wrong or it's gonna make me feel like it's my fault." I said it weakly hoping that whatever I said was incorrect.
"It's just ... urghhh forget it." She said and walked a bit away from me.
"Lisa, wait. Is it really my fault?" What did I do?
"It's not your fault. It's me, I can't stop thinking about what that guy said. I know we're friend and stuffs but he really got the point. Jennie Kim or even a hot girl like you wouldn't date me." She said with disappointed look. She was really hurt.
"Lisa, listen. You're one of the best people I've ever met. You're charming, cute, and best at your job. Not only a hot girl would fall for you but also all people who have eyes and a heart would too." Oops, I just spoke my mind.
"You really think so?" She asked me with her sincere eyes with hope and flooded emotions.
"I do." I nodded and answered her. She then hugged me tightly and hid her face in my neck.
"Thank you Nini."
"You're welcome Lili."
We both smiled and intertwined our fingers and continued our walk along the beach. The feeling of the ocean and water hitting on our barefoot really calmed both of us down and once in many years of my life, I did find peace. This feels like home, a home with Lisa here, with me and Lisa in a peaceful place and extraordinary scenery that a movie can't quite compare.
