LISA's POV

We headed to Buriram for the next trip and I too was so excited to meet my grandparents whom I have not met in years.

"Grandpa, grandma, I'm back!" I squeaked excitedly.

"Who's this? Let me have a closer look at you!" My grandmother said.

"It's me, Pranpriya!" I spoke loudly towards her since I heard from mom that they have a hearing problem.

"Look look! It's Pranpriya! She's back!" My grandma turned to tell my grandpa.

"And who is this with you? Your girlfriend?" My grandma asked. She's open-minded just like my grandpa who served in the military when he was young.

"She's just a friend and my boss, grandma." I said loudly again.

"Hi, my name is Jennie. I come from South Korea." Jennie kinda figured that my grandparents have a hearing problem so she spoke loudly as well.

"Pranpriya, what did she say?" Oh right, my grandparents do not speak good English. But they understand some phrases.

"She said her name is Jennie and she comes from South Korea." I translated to them in Thai.

"Welcome to our home, Jennie. Please be our granddaughter in law. You are so beautiful." My grandpa talked for the first time in English and wait what did he just say?

"Em, ..." Jennie's eyes blinked several times, and she seemed to be speechless.

"He was just kidding, don't mind him, Jennie. Welcome to our small home." My grandma came to the rescue.

"It is nice to be able to come here to Lisa's hometown! Thank you for having me." Jennie bowed and said politely to them to which they both returned the bowing.

"I LIKE THIS GIRL. SHE IS POLITE AND BEAUTIFUL. MARRY HER." My grandpa came and 'whispered' to my ears forgetting that he has a hearing problem. I think he just made both me and Jennie blushed.

"Grandpa!!!" I squealed at him for him to stop teasing me. "Grandma, help us!"

"Well, I don't disagree. She is a good catch, little Manoban." My grandma said it out loud and winked at me.

"I stop talking with both of you now. I will show Jennie her room." I got up from our seat.

"Oh, Em, about that. We have some renovations going on so there is only one room left for both of you. Pranpriya, you should sleep on the floor if your boss says so, okay?" My grandpa said. I didn't know they were renovating before.

"Is that okay with you, Jennie?" I turned to ask Jennie who was still in her seat.

"I'm fine. We're friends, it's not like we never slept in a room before." Jennie replied. Why does this make me feel so happy just by the thought of me being able to share a room with Jennie again?

"So this is going to be our room for a couple of days before we head back to Bangkok and take our flight back." I took her and carried all our belongings inside the room. We took sometime to arrange in silence until Jennie spoke up.

"Your grandparents seemed to be very open with you having a girlfriend." Jennie said while we both laid on our bed.

"Yes, they are, surprisingly though. I guess I'm really lucky." I do think so.

"Have you .... brought Rosé here before?" She was hesitating to ask.

"No, she's never even come to Thailand with me, and then we broke up." I answered simply.

"How did you two break up? Was it something that happened during your date if you don't mind me asking?" Jennie is such a good listener, who would have thought that such an angel would laid on my bed and talk to me like this? Lisa, you're a lucky girl.

"Actually, we were both young so I did not even have enough to give her for a perfect date. We hung out a lot even before we were a thing. So, when we were dating, she never really wanted to go for a romantic date since she wanted to focus more on her singing. Of course, I was very busy with my school and family business as well." I explained her the reasons.

Should I tell her that Chaeng and I never really broke up until recently? I don't think it's matter now.

"So you two have never actually had a date?" Jennie asked, curiously. Did I just see a smile on her face? Cute.

"The prom night was supposed to be our first official date after we were actually seeing each other." I still remembered that night.

"The person you're having feeling for, have you two gone out on a date?" She asked, changing the topic a bit.

"No, not yet."

"Hey, you know what? Let's have a fake date! If that's what you can prepare for the person you're feeling for."

"Really? is that really fine? with you?" I asked to confirm.

"I didn't say it's me. You have to ask."

I took her hand, looked into her eyes and said the phrase I have always wished to say to this goddess in front of me "Jennie Ruby Jane Kim. Could you be so kind as to give me the honor to bring you out on a date?"
