Alia swung open the house door only to jump back upon hearing a loud clap shortly after, "Arey!" She placed a hand to her chest, ready to glare at whoever was at the door for startling her, but that idea is tossed away when she glances up.
"Sorry," Ranbir apologised, a radiant smile playing against his lips. "I didn't mean to scare you."
"You don't need to apologise!" Alia smiled back, a little too happily. "Tum yahaan kya kar rahe ho?"
"Main toh — I was just," He said, scratching the back of his neck almost nervously. "Mujhe pata hai that we don't know each other very well, but I informally invited you to the bash the other day." Alia nodded, "I know you agreed, and since you live with Varun, you'll obviously be going . . . But, I just wanted to invite you formally."
Formally? What a gentleman!
"Oh!" Alia blinked, flustered. "Right, okay." She nodded, her cheeks tinting a faint shade of pink.
"Okay," Ranbir smiled wider. "Oh, and as for Varun —" His eyes trailed down Alia's neck. "Lagda hai ki he's already claimed you."
"What?" Alia blushed, her fingers automatically moving to trace over the little bruises that scattered across the milky skin of her collarbone. "It's not . . . Aisa nahi hai."
Ranbir flashed Alia a very flirtatious smile, "Really? Well then, I'm always open." He stated, glancing down at her hickeys once more. Varun was right, the pretty, purple hickeys are gaining his attention . . .
Alia laughed at his statement, "So, where is the bash?" She asked.
"My apartment," He conformed. "It's just going to be a chill night, but the dress code is sexy." Ranbir chuckled, "I think you'd look gorgeous in pretty much anything, though!"
Am I Olaf? Because, I'm melting!
"I'm going to pick up the guys on the night, though, I guess Varun can tell you the rest of the details," Ranbir grinned, "Do you have your phone on you?" Alia nodded, handing Ranbir the mobile device, watching him type his number into her contacts.
Oh my God, Ranbir Kapoor is giving me his number!
"My number," He said, passing the phone back to Alia. "In case you want to talk about anything regarding the bash, or just in general." He added, shrugging his shoulders a little.

"You're a genius!" Alia grinned as she puzzled herself into the small gap left on the sofa that Varun was sitting on.
"Tell me something I don't know," Varun muttered, causing Alia to roll her eyes slightly.
"Ranbir gave me his number!" She beamed, every inch of her screaming with happiness.
"Nice." Varun mumbled, his attention fixated on the television screen.
"Nice?" Alia frowned. "Hello? Earth to Varun? You're supposed to be happy, your stupid plan is actually working!"
Varun raised an eyebrow, an amused smirk playing against his lips. "Really, Alu?" He teased, "In that case, oh my God, you got RK's number?! CHAK DE PHATTE!" He shouted, imitating the squeals of typical fangirls.
"You're such an idiot, you idiot!" Alia huffed, watching Varun's head snap in her direction almost instantly.
"We need nicknames for each other!" He grinned, "Good ones."
"No way!" Alia scrunched up her nose, dismissing the idea.
"C'mon, every girl has a nickname for their crush!" Varun winked, playfully. "I would be Vee for you, obviously."
Vee? Yeah, right!
"Are you being serious?" Alia arched a brow, "There is no way —"
Alia glared at him for a moment, before breaking the silence. "I'm still not going to call you —"
"You want to get more than Ranbir's number, right? Then, call me Vee."
"Pfft, no!" Alia scoffed.
Varun licked his lips, "Call me Vee, babygirl." He purred, seductively.
Alia felt her body twitch when she heard his low purr, "Never."
"Kaho na, Alu!" He groaned.
"I said, no." Alia rejected Varun's idea again, causing him to officially give up trying, and instead, he leaned back into the sofa, folding his arms over his chest as he pouted at the television screen. "Vee?" She whispered, quietly, to tease him.
"What did you just say?" Varun's eyes sparkled, as he turned to face Alia.
"Bee, I said bee!" She stated, "Why?"
"Ugh!" Varun groaned lowly, pulling a cushion over his face. "Why would you even be saying the word bee right now?!" He whined, cutely.
"Because," Alia paused, "I want to watch the Bee Movie, that's why!"
"Seriously?" Varun questioned, with an emotionless expression.
"Yep!" She confirmed with a smile, before snatching the remote out of his hands, ready to search Netflix for the cartoon film that she didn't really want to watch. Sorry, Barry the Bee.
