"I don't watch movies"

"Why not? You haven't seen any good ones and you lost interest?" I ask munching on my slice of pizza

"Um...I don't know, I am just not a fan of movies" she says dropping her glass of juice on the table and propping her elbow against it

We were sat on the floor by the small wooden coffee table that sat in the middle of my parlor with the pizza we ordered seated on it. We had gotten inside after a while and we just started talking.

We got hungry, well I got hungry along the way so we ordered pizza and 30 minutes later, we were seated on the floor eating pizza and talking about random things

"That's weird, I love movies. I usually get off work early so when I come home, I watch movies till I fall asleep or during the weekend, cause a girl has got to have some form of entertainment in her life" I say and she nods

"That's cool. I don't have time to watch movies cause I'm usually very busy so I don't really feel like I'm missing out on anything"

"Are you a workaholic or something like that?" I ask and a small laugh leaves her lips

"Well, I guess you could say so" she says

"This is the reason why you haven't been around LA, cause you're always working. You have to let go and enjoy" I say finishing up the slice in my hand and she nods with a smile

"That's why I've got you yeah?"

"Right" I say with a smile

"So where are you from?" I ask after she says nothing

"I was born in Barcelona, Spain" she says

"Really?"

"Yeah. Don't I look Hispanic?" She asks with a laugh

"Not to me at least. Your parents are Hispanic?"

"Both of them, my mum is Spanish, same with my dad but he was partly Italian" she confirms and I nod with a smile

"So you grew up in Spain? Italy?" I ask and she shakes her head no

"I stayed in Spain but moved to New York at the age of 5 with my mum. I lost my dad the same year so we moved" she says

"Oh..."

"You sound sympathetic" she says with a laugh "its okay, I don't really feel it since I was so young and I'm all grown up now" she says, a smile on her face and I nod

"Alright" I say only and she nods

"You said you were born and raised here in LA right?" She asks

"Yup" I say impressed that she still remembers

"I think that's pretty cool" she says and a smile settles on my lips

"So can you speak Spanish? You probably can't since you moved"

"I'm very fluent actually, I think I learnt more from getting yelled at" she says with a laugh "Anytime my mum would scold me, she'd always yell in Spanish"

"Wow" I say with a laugh "say something for me"

"In Spanish?" She asks and I nod

"Um...okay" she says shifting slightly "Creo que eres muy hermosa, más de lo que sabes.(I think you're very beautiful, more than you know)" She says, her eyes staring into mine and I raise a brow

"What does it mean?" I ask

"Ah...its weird if I tell you so I'm not going to" she says

"What?"

"Sorry" she says with a laugh

"Come on, is it something bad?" I ask and she shakes her head no

"Then what?"

"I can't say" she says

"Come on, please?" I beg and she doesn't budge "fine, say it again"

"Will you know it then?" She asks with a laugh

"Maybe, say it again" I say

"Tienes ojos hermosos, labios hermosos, hermosos ... (you have beautiful eyes, beautiful lips, beautiful...)" She starts but I don't let her finish

"It sounds different from what you said earlier, are you saying something else this time?" I ask with a frown

"You're smart too" she says

"Too? Were you listing all the things I am?" I ask

"Something like that"

"Well what did you say?" I was dying of curiosity

"I'm not telling"

"Bunnnnnnnyyyyy" I whine and she starts laughing

"Maybe I'll tell you sometime later" she says

"When?"

"Later" she says with a smile and I groan

"After I fed you" I say with a shake of my head and she just laughs

"Stop laughing" I say nudging her playfully
