I let out a quiet sigh feeling comfortable in the silence and quiet of Bunny's room.
She was sat on the bed, working while I sat by the desk as I edited some pictures for an ad my studio was working on for a company.
I start tapping lightly on the table as the song Thick as thieves by shinedown starts playing in my head.
"Evidently you're not in the mood, everything I say just bothers you..." I sing quietly
"You built this fortress, I stumble towards it" Bunny sings along and a smile tugs on my lips but I don't look up from the pictures I was looking at on the table
"Evidently you look furious, walls up and I know you're serious" I sing next
"Evidently I'm not always there but you left and I looked everywhere" she sings, her eyes not leaving the files in her hand while her pen drummed lightly against her legs
"You built this fortress, I stumble towards it, I stumble towards it" I sing cheerfully
"And guilty I may be, but don't give up on me" we start the chorus together "In the wake of the Odyssey, we will still be thick as thieves, You and me still thick as thieves" we finish and I look up at her the same time she does and she winks at me before looking back down at the papers in her hand and I feel a blush creep on my cheeks as my lips stretched in a grin and butterflies erupted in my stomach
I never want to get over this feeling
