"Are these the only designs?" I ask looking at the cards with different designs for the ad
"It is" Brandon, my assistant says and I look up at him
"These are just 2 cards" I state
"Um...I didn't..."
"You didn't do as I asked. You didn't work" I say and he stays quiet
"You make me scold you all the time and I have to be the bad guy all because you slack off all the time" I say feeling annoyance build in me
"Brandon...just go please" I say handing him the designs
"I'm sorry" he says only before leaving my office and shutting the door behind him and I let out a sigh, leaning against my chair
I sit up straight, picking my phone from the table and I see an unread text from Tara and a scowl immediately comes on my face
I open it, looking down at the message

I let out a sigh looking at the message again. I should really change that name
I go out of the message box without replying and almost immediately, my phone screen flashes with Bunny written across it
Somehow she always calls me right after Tara texts or calls. Its like she's just there to stop my mood from getting spoilt
I tap on the green button before putting the phone to my ear. "Hi" I hear first, a smile immediately framing my face
"Hey" I say back
"Are you okay?" She asks and I raise a brow
"Why?"
"You sound annoyed"
"How can you tell?" I ask
"I just can, are you okay though? What happened?" She asks
"I'll tell you later when we meet" I say
"You getting off work yet? I'll pick you up" she says and my eyes go to the watch on my wrist
"Yeah, I'm getting off in about 20 minutes" I tell her
"See you in 15 then" she says
"Eager huh?"
"Something like that" she says with a laugh and I roll my eyes
"I'll be waiting"
"See you" she says and I hear a beep showing that she hung up
I drop my phone on the table, a smile on my face as I click on a file on my desktop

I enter the car and put on my seat belt before turning to her
"Hey" I say with a smile
"Hey" she says back "your place?"
"Actually can we go to your place? Paisley...well let's just say she has a guest over" I say and she lets out a laugh
"I didn't know you guys live together" she says starting the car and zooming off
"Technically we don't. She just doesn't know how to stay put in her own house " I say and she nods in understanding
"Although it'd be nice if she just started living with me. We can split the house bills, I have to take care of that shit all alone now that I no longer live with Tara" I say and she looks at me briefly before turning back to the road
"You used to live with her?" She asks
"Yup. Killing two stones with one bird, I had half the bills taken away from me and I got to live with my girlfriend...or ex-girlfriend...or whatever" I say and I see her nod
"Oh" she says only
"Hmm. Anyways enough about all that, how was work today?" I ask
"Interesting" she says with a smile
"How so?"
"A colleague of mine asked me out today during lunch" she says with a laugh
"Oh, Is she pretty?" I ask, not looking at her anymore but at the road in front of me
"She is. She's new and started work a week ago. She works at another branch in New York, she's here for some work supervision" she says and I nod
"Oh" is all I say crossing my arms over my chest "Well... what did you say?"
"Hmm?" She asks
"What did you say? When...she asked you out" I ask quietly
"I told her there's someone I like already" she says and I turn to her with a smile
"Really?" I ask, excitement filling my every word "I mean...um...okay" I say calming down and a small laugh leaves her lips as she turns to me for a bit before looking back at the road
"Why? Are you happy I rejected her?" She asks
"Something like that" I say with a smile looking out the window before turning to her
"Something like that" she repeats with a smile, tucking her hair behind her ear as she looks at me once more before turning to the road
