of course you felt bad about lying to your girlfriend, but you had to.
her dad, the chief of police, told you to stay away from his daughter. you didn't want to anger him, so you just agreed.
so here we are, outside starcourt mall, you went to go get a make-up present for her with mike, will and lucas, but unfortunately, you ran into el and max.
"why do you lie?" el asks aproaching you.
"i'm sorry." you say looking anywhere but her eyes. "i just needed a break to hang out with the boys-"
"i don't care. you lied! girlfriend's don't lie! i dump your ass!" she cut you off.
"well, i bought you a make-up gift, but apparently, you don't care, but here you go anyways." you fish into the bottom of your shopping bag and you pull out a small red box and hand it to her.
"goodbye, el." you say before riding off with the boys.

i open up the red box as my jaw drops.
a silver ring with the word 'promise' is engraved into it.
a gasp leaves my lips as i realise what i've done wrong.
