el looked at joyce and hopper in desperation.
"where's y/n?" she asked them as she stood in front of the two adults.
"oh, sweetheart, she's..." joyce began, but covered her mouth before walking off with silent tears rolling down her cheeks.
y/n being a part of the big mission was the only shot they had at defeating the russians and shutting off the machine. You spoke perfect russian and you knew about the ins and outs of the russian base.
but it came with a cost.

that you left a dead girl.
everyone knew that you were going to die.

you assured her that you were going to be fine.
that was a lie.
