"Family life contributes immensely to an individual's happiness."

Bianca

Bianca stared at the mirror as she decided what to do with her hair. She had decided to put her fight with her sister out of her mind and focus on the fact that John was coming over. Although, thinking about John made her think of Abby, which made her think of the fight so her plan wasn't really working.

Maybe I just shouldn't go for dinner, I'll just stay up in my room. She shook her head, no, if I do that Abby would be furious.. I think we've fought enough for one day.

Despite the fact that Bianca and her sister argued a lot, Bianca didn't truly like to. It was a coping mechanism she adopted to get any reaction from Abby.

She remembered the first few weeks after Abby woke up; Abby had stayed in bed crying and trying to remember everything, which only made her cry more. She had refused to see anyone and only opened the door to collect food. Bianca had constantly sat at the otherside of the closed door, trying to get her sister to talk to her.

Eventually, she got tired and snapped. She screamed at her sister through the door, shouting all kinds of obscenities till Abby opened the door, eyes swollen from the routine of crying and sleeping.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" Abby screamed at her sister.

"Me? What's wrong with me? I'm not the one locking myself in my room like a Disney princess waiting for God knows what to happen!"

"I'm not acting like a princess, you... you.."

"You what? Huh? You can't even come up with a come back"

"You ogre!"

Bianca burst out laughing with no humor, "ogre? At least I don't look like one!" She shot back.

Abby's hands shot to her hair, her eyes widened as she felt how matted and knotted up it was.

"And guess what," Bianca added, noticing she had gotten a positive reaction, "you stink like one too."

Her sister cringed as she sniffed at her armpits. "Ew ew eww! I'm going to take a shower." She shuddered as she walked into her room.

"Wash your hair as well please!"

Their parents had found them in front of the TV, watching old Disney shows and eating leftovers. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace didn't want to ruin the mood so they grabbed some food and joined their daughters on the couch.

That's when the walking on eggshells started, Bianca remembered, they didn't want Abby to relapse so they didn't address the issue. That didn't solve anything... It never does.

In the end Bianca decided not to dress up and to look as plain as possible; she wasn't in the mood to impress anybody anymore.
