Brother's Best Friend

Chapter 33

The next morning at breakfast i took Hudson to the side and Eren did the same with Melanie so we could give them our individual apologies. 

After having a night to sleep on it, both of them were fine with our disappearances from their birthday dinner. They accepted our apologies without much persuasion... Eren just has to make it up to Mel with a trip to Joe's for ice cream when we get back from Disney. I was strictly not invited under Melanie's orders 

Ever since i left my room this morning my mind has been buzzing with thoughts of Eren. Something that I've grown used to since the beginning of this trip but now...
He told me likes me last night. The boy who used to treat me like dirt under his shoe is now admitting his feelings for me

I'm still sceptical…

I'm equally as nervous as I was around him before but for an entirely different reason now. What once was anxiety of him finding out my attraction to him was now replaced with a sense of dread that what was happening between us will go away. 

Or that someone would find out…

"You screamed like a girl man" Lee laughed gripping Erens shoulder to steady himself through his fit of giggles. 

We have just gotten off the Tower of Terror ride in Disney Studios. Its was our first ride of the day and everyone went on. Including Georgia and Melanie and Hudson. So, although Eren objected, he came on with us anyway 

Eren shrugged Lee off in annoyance, a slight scowl plastered on his face at his best friends taunting 

"It was Melanie" Eren quietly argued in his defence. Melanie stopped walking in front of us and turned to face us

"I only screamed at the top!" She points upwards before folding her arms across her chest and sticking her tongue out at Eren, to which he returns. Because Eren might actually have the mind of a 6 year old himself. 

Melanie turns around and skips away from Eren and the rest of us to catch up with our parents

"You screamed everytime the elevator dropped" Stella chuckles and Eren groans in frustration, wanting everyone to shut up now.

It was arguably hilarious hearing Eren cry out during each drop but now I was starting to feel bad for him

I put my hand on his back and rub his muscles beneath this shirt. He looks over at me and i smile reassuringly, which he returned. Nothing weird going on here, just comforting my friend. 

Lee and Stella were a step or two in front of us now anyway. They weren't going to notice either way

"But, you enjoyed it right?" I ask him hopefully and he nods slowly

"Other than the fact my stomach was in my throat the whole time, yeah. It was alright" he says casually like he wasn't just screaming his head off a moment a go. 

He grins down at me as he drapes an arm over my shoulders. My hand was still resting on his back so it looked like we were walking in a half couple-like hug. 

It takes me by surprise when he tugs me closer to him and places a kiss on my head. Even though Stella and Lee were a step or two in front of us and had no idea Eren had just done that, it made my heart rate spike immensely.

I pushed Eren off and away from me in pure shock and fear. Eren stumbled to the side trying to restrain his laughter, but it was enough noise to catch Stella and Lee's attention in front of us. They look over their shoulders towards us both and I hope and pray that they dont notice how red my face is. My cheeks were scorching
