When Amicia found out about Gondor's king returning she was saddened, for it could have meant Aragorn, would never see her again. She was tired of fighting for his affections against Arwen. Her heart was tired of fending off his almost overbearing friendliness. The only thought on her mind?

To get the ever-living Valar out of there.

So to say she was packing her things almost haphazardly in her wagon kind of doesn't do it justice, she's practically sliding trunks in and praying they don't fall out. So far she's packed most of her belongings and is just getting her last trunk packed with her dishes and linens. As the final plate is set correctly and nestled into the trunk she hears almost silent footsteps.

"Havodad- námo"

The footfalls cease and she turns around lifting the rather light trunk and meeting the eyes of Aragorn son of Arathorn. Huffing quietly she rolls her eyes and steps out past him.

"Where are you going?"

"Away, I thought you'd rejoice in the fact.."

"No, I will not rejoice upon the fact, I am worried about where you will go? Especially when there are orcs everywhere."

Setting the trunk in the back of the wagon, she shuts the back gate of the wagon as it shuts it clasps and she sighs.

"Aragorn, I am going alone, and that is final. I will not tell you where I go, You would follow me either way and I tire of my time in Imladris."

He rubs his beard and sighs softly at her stubbornness muttering.

"Amicia, please. Think this through, you could die..."

She huffs irritatedly and turns to face him with soft anger in her blue-green eyes.

"Well then, it should spare me of my feelings if I perish on my journey. If I perish, and you find me, I am sorry. But I will not stand here and watch my king love an elleth who regards him as a friend. I tire of living amongst the Noldor, they are kind but I wish to be with humans, not elves."

He stills and looks almost depressed with the new knowledge of his friend's departure.

"Amicia, if you insist upon this I will not hesitate to let you leave, just be careful my friend. Please, for the sake of our people, be careful..."

She rolls her eyes, nodding, and hugs him tightly, making sure her braid is tightened before she pulls back and smiles grimly.

"I'll see you again someday my king, do not fret..."

ONE YEAR LATER IN GONDOR

Her sword shining coated in black blood Amicia stands amid a battlefield with dead orcs littering the ground. Her armor wrent in several places as she stands there breathing hard. The day was won, her king had returned, and the world had just faced the dawn of the age of men. Elrond is approaching her and she sees him slick soaked with the Orcish and Uruk-hai blood.

"Amicia of the Dunedain, it is a pleasure to meet you again mellon nin."

She bows her head respectfully smiles a wicked grin embracing the Elf in a bloodied hug and chuckling. "I missed your pristine existence, my friend." She laughs and sees her king matted hair caked with blood and eyes dull but tired dull not heartbroken dull.

"Elrond, who have you there?!" Aragorn asks louder than his normal tone and Amicia steps out to the view of her king and bows.

"Aragorn, my king... It has been too long my friend."

His eyes widen at the voice and run forward with great joy written into his worried face. He embraces her hard and laughs cupping her face with one hand. "Oh my illuvitar, Amicia!"

She grins and hugs him tightly in the wrent armor and murmurs, "Eru, it's been too long, Estel..."

"I know it has been." His voice is deep and gravelly from his exhaustion.

"Come, let us catch up and forget about the woes of today mellon."

"Agreed, let us catch up."
