Her Father and Her Teacher

"Hey! Haneul! Chanhee! Please stop fighting!"
Jungkook raised his voice a little at his two preschool students in front of him. Yes, Jungkook is a kindergarten teacher already. Has been for a couple years even though he had only gotten out of college a few years ago. They were about halfway through the year now, but Kim Haneul and Min Chanhee were fighting. Again.

"Haneul! Please put the pencil down, honey! Calm down. Don't stab her please!"
Jungkook squeaked but somehow in a demanding tone.

Haneul was one of his favorite students, but when she got into these little fights he wasn't sure how to deal with it. He liked Chanhee too of course, she was also one of his favorites. But on the somewhat rare occasion they got into a fight like this, they got knocked down on his list for a temporary time.

They were good kids though. He just didn't like the fights, that's all. Otherwise they are good students and get good or decent marks. Jungkook decided he would just talk to their parents at the upcoming parent-teacher conference coming up soon.

"Wait! Why don't you too just come over here for a minute? Ok? Please?" Jungkook lowkey pleaded. The other students were obviously a little scared that the two were about to get physical. So, like the amazing teacher he is, he decided to defuse the situation. Haneul and Chanhee stopped and walked over to Jungkook looking a little scared and ashamed, thinking they were in trouble.

"Can you tell me why you were fighting, please?" Jungkook asked his students.

"Chanhee messed up my drawing! Then she took my crayon! I wanted to make a picture for my daddy, but now it's messed up!" Haneul spoke up, pointing fingers.

"Chanhee, what do you say happened?" Jungkook asked, wanting both sides of their story.

"I was drawing on my own paper with a purple crayon but it broke! A part fell on her paper and made a mark! So I borrowed her purple crayon so I could finish my drawing for my daddies."
Chanhee said.

"But my daddy loves purple! He said his favorite color is purple! So I wanted his picture to be purple!" Haneul cut Chanhee off.

"Hold on, hold on. First of all, Haneul, I'm sure your daddy won't mind having a little mark on his picture. Don't worry ok? It was an accident. She didn't mean to. But, Chanhee, did you ask Haneul if you could borrow her crayon?" Jungkook explained. He was confident in the first part because he was quite familiar with Haneul's father, Mr. Kim. Kim Taehyung. Of course he had met him at other school events or meetings and stuff, so he had a grasp on the man as a character. Taehyung was a little bit more extroverted and on the flirty side. He was a single dad, and had adopted Haneul when she was a little baby. He didn't really know all the details though. He loved his daughter and took care of her, that's all he cared about.
He knew Chanhee's parents too. Two dads, really nice people. Min Yoongi and Min Jimin. Chanhee was adopted as well. Small world.

"No I didn't. I thought she wouldn't mind!" Chanhee mumbled.

"Ok, well you have to ask next time. You can't take things without the other person saying it's ok. That's a mean crime and can hurt someone's feelings. Just ask her nicely next time ok? Now, I want you two to apologize to each other now. And mean it." Jungkook eased.

The two girls looked at each other, looking embarrassed.

"I'm sorry..." they both said at the same time, looking ashamed. Jungkook sighed.
