The 5 Best Friends

Chapter 3~~~~~

Finally, it's TGIF( thank god it's Friday) the day where all our questions will be answered! I brought my vial that is filled with the glittery golden dust today. We continued our daily routine like nothing had happened, we tried to hide our excitement as we counted the precious seconds before the final bell rang. "RING RING RING RING RING!"

We all quickly packed up and hurried to room 3.5 where nightingale was waiting for us, she beckoned for us to come inside.

When we walked into the small room we can feel each other's excitement, dread and fear of the nightingale.

"Take a seat girls" she instructs us. "I'm guessing there is a lot of confusion amongst you girls, wondering how on earth and why you have these powers."she says.

" Before you ask any questions here is some general information. You girls have been watched by people like me that want you girls to learn and use your powers for good, it's quite simple really, one side, my side wants you girls to learn and perfect your powers to rid this planet of monsters, like the one that attacked Kelly." She pauses," the other group, is a group made up of monsters that want you all dead so that they won't be killed and turn to dust."

" There are others like us you know." She says. I got a bit of a shock and blurted out "us?!?!".

"Yes, us. Don't be so surprised Yili haven't you seen all the stuff you girls can do? You've already seen your first monster!" She tells us.

Then Ella shouted " WAIT! If there are more of us doesn't that mean there are more monsters as well?".

"That is correct Ella!" Nightingale shouts. I give a snort that's loud enough for Ella to hear but not nightingale.

" There are many monsters in this world and recently, they have been gathering together and having meetings in secret... Suppose to be." Nightingale announced.

* silence*

"Those vials filled with golden monster dust can be deadly to other monsters if used properly."

Nightingale took her golden pen and took an A4 paper and started drawing. I see why she's not an art teacher... IS THAT AN OCTOPUS?!?!?! Wait no that's a werewolf with some really thick fur, I think...

" These ovals represent monsters. These circles are your vials. If you took a weapon and coated it with this dust, the weapon will kill the monster right away if it gets into its bloodstream. Only use this dust in emergencies!"

" That monster that attacked Kelly was a very rare and very dangerous monster!" Nightingale exclaimed.

She then told us that this was all she could tell us right now since she had to leave to take care of some sort of " business".

It was only 4.30 so we decided to go to the canteen to discuss this since the library was closed because of the monster.

On the way downstairs I asked " Now what?". The only reply I got was " don't ask me!"

We went to buy some snacks like seaweed, chips and chocolate. We sat at our normal table and talked about our powers and stuff that nightingale already explained. The same sentences went back and forth until all our parents came to pick us up.
