The Hustle Part 2-Thomas Westerberg

A/N~ Here is the revised second part of The Hustle. In this part it starts about a week after the last part and then goes into a flashback starting right after the end of the first part. Anyway, thanks for reading, I hope you enjoy.

Y/N's POV

Right now I'm just wondering 'How the hell did I get here?' I mean this was just supposed to be a simple bet, do how did this happen? Here I am, standing on an airplane runway with my best friend Penny and our rival, Josephine, staring after a plane that's carrying my heart away.

My life's savings as well as my love is on that plane. How could I let that happen? I guess to make sense of it all I'll have to go back to when Josephine's littlr 'consultation'.

Flashback

3rd person POV

After Josephine or "Dr. Schauffhaussen" agreed to do an examination, you, Thomas and Josephine all walked back up to Thomas' hotel room. "Penny!" You called out. "Coming!" You heard her yell back from the bedroom before you saw her walk out with her walking stick. "I've got a surprise for ya." Thomas called out. "Thomas, Y/N, Where did you guys go?" Penny asked. "You'll never guess who we found." You said sarcastically while walking over to her. "Who?" Penny asked with disdain.

"It's doctor Frederika Schauffhaussen." Thomas said excitedly. Penny pretended to be shocked and gasped. "Oh, she can't believe it." Thomas said with the cutest smile you've ever seen. "Believe it Fraulein. I am here to help you, dear girl" Josephine said tauntingly. "She was having dinner at the hotel tonight and I saw her insta post. Isn't it incredible." Thomas said. "Incredible." You and Penny said at the same time.

"I must make my assessment of the patient. Thomas?" Josephine said. "Yes?" Thomas asked. "I require a chair." She said. Thomas brought over a chair from the dining room and Josephine had Penny sit on it. "A warning. My methods are unorthodox." Josephine said with a smug smirk on her face. "Now, you two needto leave the testing space." Josephine said.

You and Thomas backed away into the next room over. "Is this good doctor?" You said sarcastically. Josephine didn't answer you and instead turned to Penny and said "So you can see absolutely nothing? No shapes, no light, no color." For every word she drew closer to Penny until she was right in her face. You could tell that Penny was struggling as she said "No, nothing at all."

Josephine grabbed the walking stick and Penny tried to grab it back while still pretending that she couldn't see. "You will no longer use this crutch of the mind." Josephine said. "But she needs it." You said. "Silence!" Josephine said. "Has the test started yet." Penny said calmly. "Okay , Penny. How about this?" Josephine said and began to blow air into Penny's eyes. "I am funneling the air directly into your eye cavity. My mouth hole is very narrow. You should not be feeling this." She said.

"I just smell salmon." Penny said, but you could tell from her voice that she was starting to tear up. "Interesting. The body reacts but the body does not." Josephine said. "Is the test almost over." You asked. "Not yet. Penny I want you to have a little snack, but you must guess the food you're eating, ja?" Josephine asked. "Yeah, that sounds easy enough." Penny agreed. "I will ready the snack." Josephine said with a smirk before walking into the kitchen.

You saw her pick up a french fry from a pan and then walk into the bathroom. She began wiping the fry on the toilet and you nesrly barfed. You saw Penny's eyes widen slightly as Josephine walked back over with the, now, contaminated fry. "Okay Penny. Here comes the choo choo train. Open wide. You saw Penny hestitate before opening her mouth and swallowing the fry. "Oh, it's a french fry. Can I have another one?" Penny said and you could see the shock on Josephine's face.

"Okay." Josephine said as she stood Penny up and walked her over near the front door. Josephine walked over to the front door and opened it and then walked back over to Penny. "You are a very good blind person. As such, you must surely know the number of steps between you and the door." Josephine said. "Uh-huh." Penny said, not understanding where Josephine was going with this. "Aswell as the number from the door to the elevator."

"Of course. Otherwise sge would be running into things all the tim." You said. "Yeah, I know all the steps." Penny said. "Okay Penny. I have opened the door so you have an unobstructed path to the elevator. I want you to run as fast as possible to the elevator." Josephine said while walking to the door. "You can do this, ja?" Josephine asked with a smirk.

"Yeah, it's pretty simple for a blind person to judt run in a straight line,so." Penny said. "As fast as you can then. Go!" Josephine yelled. "Now?" Penny asked. "Ja!" Josephine responded. Penny began to run and Josephine closed the door before Penny could stop and she ran right into the door. "Penny!" You and Thomas yelled running over to your now knocked out friend. "I will take the case." Josephine said and then walked out the room.
