MODERN AU (college, high school, whatever)
"This is the stupidest thing we've ever done," you grumble as you walk around the perimeter of the old, run down building.
Somebody had dared you and *crush* to go and sneak into the old, abandoned, rumored to be haunted building that was just down the street and at first, you thought it wasn't a bad idea. Now, though, you were starting to think otherwise
"Can we just leave? I don't want to be here," you tried to beg as you follow *crush* around to the back.
"It's fine," they insisted, waving you off. "There's no way this place is actually haunted, anyway. Those are just rumors." They started to try and pull the door open, though it just barely budged, they can't manage to get it open.
Starting to get frustrated, keeping your distance, you close your eyes in disbelief. "Okay, well, we got here and you've proved your point," you protest, starting to nervous sweat. "You're brave, there's no ghosts, we can go now—"
*Crush* got the door open, turning to you with a satisfied look on their face. "Alright then. Come on, let's go inside." Without a second thought, they leave you outside, heading in and expecting you to follow.
